Here is what Gary Shapiro CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) said: Dvorak's writing sings with insight and clarity. Whether or not you agree with John's views, he will get you thinking and is never boring. These essays are worth the read!

I don’t know if you know this, and I don’t mean to stereotype, but “black” comedy tends to be a little racy. The author of the poster was just trying to clarify that this particular brand of comedy wasn’t.
Maybe they’re telling jokes about soap.
humor that isn’t “racy” doesn’t really have a point. It’s called a lecture.
Humor, especially ribald humor, is the mainstay of comedy. Comedy depends on conventions to be broke, bent, or made fun of. Certainly there ARE funny words, there are intellectually funny bits, and “clean” is often in the eye of the beholder. Unless they’re telling anti-baptist jokes, and making fun of bible passages……what would Gospel Clean Comedy be?
I can’t see how any comedy show could call itself both clean and comedy, unless it’s all slapstick, puns, and silly stuff. But, by citing GOSPEL …that takes out the fun, silly stuff, now doesn’t it?
I can’t imagine any skits, monologues, or improv that could be 100% clean, without innuendo. It’s what helps along less skilled performers, and a mainstay of entertainment.
Sounds like bait-and-switch to me.
Oh wait, I found it, the promoters of this event, and the comic::

“Though compared to the legendary Moms Mabley and the hilarious Sister Cantaloupe, Alice Arthur shares the same faith and is determined to fill the void for clean comedy during times of crisis and worldly corruption. “I’ m a Christian and I incorporate my Motivational Speaking and a Stress Consulting skills into my routine.”
Moms Mabley!!!!!! She was about as clean as Red Foxx! “”A woman is a woman until the day she dies. But a man’s a man only as long as he can!”” And, as for the Christian aspect, do they know she was a lesbian?
