One of the delights (!?) of living in the south is being bombarded by the ubiquitous church signs, which change weekly so that one always has plenty of weirdness to ponder. Here’s one I spotted today which I just had to blog: Is the message here that the heat wave is God’s judgment against us??? Or is there another meaning? (And why the quotation marks? Is God being quoted directly?)
I’m going to repent and change my ways today, just as soon as I finish my porn-surfing.

Note: The bible’s fascination with brimstone in matters of judgment can be seen in such passages as Gen. 19:24, Psalm 11:6, and Rev. 20:10 to name several. You can look these up and reflect on them while you are having your Post Toasties this morning.

I think you’re on to something. God communicating through church signs is very likely. I mean I’ve seen “in Your Right Hand there are Pleasures Forever”
and something about free coffee in heaven, heck only God would know that. Don’t believe about the hand thing?

Keep a list, and when they are disproved, SHOW them…
But, they will just say it was a TEST, but the END will come.
And I will mention that the Meek will inherit the earth, as they will be HIDING in the hills when the REST of the world will either have, NO KNOWLEDGE of what happened, or pushed the button THEMSELVES.
