These kind of videos are making American society sicker and sicker. Look at what people are finding humorous: people getting hurt, killed and maimed. It is a perversion of our society. Last night I was looking throught the top 100 Google videos. The top few were kickboxer videos in which the one guy throws a kick and shatters his lower leg only to know it when he moves that leg back down and it folds over like jello. It is really sickening. Other videos show stunts gone wrong. People getting hurt, and we’re laughing. PEOPLE DO NOT VALUE LIFE and the temple of the human form. This is why I choose to stay out of society for the most part. It is degrading. Not the surface where people want to display “goodness” but rather in the INSIDE where people show their true colors because they can remain anonymous.

    Hilarious! Thanks for posting this.

I’d much rather get a good belly laugh than “staying out of society for the most part.”

  3. TJGeezer says:

Ah, the temple of the human form, celebfated by everyone from Fatty Arbuckle to to Billy Barty to John Candy to Armin Shimerman. Holy indeed.

This kind of stuyff is just digitally enhanced slapstick, a term that goes WAY back and does not denote warm, fuzzy humor. Lighten up.

    1. I agree with some of what you say, Some of the You Tube (or GoooTube) videos are just plain sick. But the talking cats? Now there some redeeming social value. This video here, just humorous like Monty Python on steroids.

#1, did those people really die after a 20-story fall? Because, I’d find it offensive too if people died while making commercials.

#5. Society is just heading toward the wrong direction, that’s all. Goodness, Truth, Beauty and Justice is what we should be aiming at.

    Fixed.

What ever happened to Truth, Justice, and the American way?

  11. Pete says:

#10 the thing is that you can’t have all 3 at the same time. 2 at the most.. so it’s either truth or justice with American way..

  12. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn’t find the video humorous. It’s pretty much journeyman humor. Cigarettes kill. They get killed because of cigarettes. Excellent and done to surprise the viewer. Flawless.

And I hate to break it to you (you know who you are) Bugs Bunny is just a cartoon and he never gets hurt either.

#12. I just got home. On the way home there was a crime scene on the street. A woman’s guts were being scooped up into a plastic bag. One hour before just one block away on the same street a man talking on his cell phone was run over by a bus and killed as he started across the crosswalk. The scene was cordoned off and traffic stopped. An hour later when they let one lane pass through a truck driver, obviously frustrated from the traffic, went by the grissly scene and BAM, one block away, runs over an elderly woman and kills her instantly. Man, life is not a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

#12. honestly, John, the trouble I have with these types of “realistic” videos is that they are TOO real. I saw another one on Google video where a guy dressed up as Jesus is walking the street banging out Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and then all of a sudden, BAM he gets run over by a bus. Another video of a group of kids who play a prank by one of them hiding in a mail box. People drop in letters and the kid inside spits them right out. One strange guy gets the same result, becomes alarmed of terrorism, pulls out a gun and shoots inside presumably killing the kid inside. These videos are toying between funny and reality. A Bugs Bunny cartoon is obvious. Another group in Manhattan are the Falung Gong crowd who set up mock prison abuse props. This last summer I complained to the petitioner because the bruised, cut-up face was TOO realistic. I was graphic, gory and really disgusting. They didn’t have to do that to make their point. If I’m walking with my kid, why does he have to see such carnage on the street? What about kids surfing the internet that see the examples I mentioned? What kind of an example are we setting when the humor is getting too realistic. If the terrace broke but fell upwards like an elevator then that would be funny and realistic. No wonder why when people saw the Towers fall on 9/11 almost everyone said it felt like they were watching television.

  15. #13 — Does anyone actually imagine you ever leaving the house? This tale is bogus. Send a link to the news item if true. You can’t.

That said I can only understand your attitude as expressed in item 14 because the country as a whole is being terrorized by the government and everyone is skittish. I am not revisiting the topic.

I imagine you find very little to be funny including this vid:

    A classic.

Ah, and this statement coming from the guy that claimed he impresses women with fake levitation tricks to get them into bed and who also said he wants to date 12 and 13 year olds.

Should we take anything you say seriously?

  17. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

#14…Maybe you’re too young to remember Candid Camera. The mailbox joke is old, very old.

I’ve used some extremely realistic props to create simulated accident scenes for Boy Scouts…broken cow leg bones poking out of burned coats, and lots of blood made from corn syrup, food coloring, and a bit of chocolate syrup for opacity. Why would we do such a thing, you might ask? Because this way someone (a trained Scout or leader) who happens upon the scene isn’t overcome by the gore, and they can respond to the emergency in a useful way.

Oh, and that blood recipe is good on ice cream, too. Especially effective if you know a nurse and can obtain clean medical containers from which to serve it.

  18. Mr. Fusion says:

    0113addiv,

There is a difference between fantasy and real life. What happens in fantasy, such as with Bugs Bunny or an accident simulation, may be either entertaining or educational. But they didn’t happen, we have to make believe, pretend, or imagine their scenarios fitting into real life.

And trust me, I am very sure the Road Runner is very happy that it is only fantasy.
