I need to take more pics like this. As you recall I was trying to initialize a contest focusing on cars with stickers. Maybe I should try again.

    Ah… “cars stink ride a bike…”

I wonder how well the pollution controls work on this ’89 Toyota Turdcel?

    Classic hipocracy.

(And no – I don’t drive an SUV.)

  2. B. Dog says:

I find the license plate soothing. That, combined with the stickers, could cut down on road rage, or not:

  3. Lewis Perdue says:

Consider this one as a contender for the bumper-sticker prize.

  4. @$tr0Gh0$t says:

I find it curious that there’s a sticker with the star of David and another sticker that says ‘Free Palestine’.

  5. julieb says:

Here in Knoxville, TN all the cars (SUV’s) have jesus, rapture and bush stickers. They still believe in that stuff here.

During the 04 election I saw a Ford 150 with a huge sticker covering the entire tailgate that said “John Kerry is a Communist.”

I carry my camera around and see if I can catch a crazy one.

  6. Floyd says:

The following is from observations gained in the Southwest, where bumper sticker mania seems to be rife.

People with a lot of bumper stickers seem to fall in three groups: left wing, right wing, or religious. Religion is sometimes mixed in with wingnuttiness of either kind. There are a few Libertarians or anarchists out there that succumb to bumper stickers, but they aren’t as common, so I don’t see them as much.

  7. bac says:

Why go for an expensive paint job, use bumper stickers instead. As a plus, there is no waxing.

I once worked for a car dealer as a detailer. I always hated cars that were traded in with a whole bunch of bumper stickers on them. It was my job to remove them.

I like the bumper stickers for presidential campaigns. Ten years later the bumper sticker promoting the candidates is still there. Definitely a sign of a lazy owner.

  8. @$tr0Gho$t says:

That car need to be pimped!

Where is Xzibit when you need him! 🙂

Because you know full well the owner of this Tercel covered in political bumper sticker is also the kind of upwardly mobile urban professional who can afford to drop a wad of cash on a new Prius…

Minus the excessive stickers, that looks like any car I might have owned in my early 20s…

On the other hand – If you consider that those stickers cost about 1 to 2 bucks each, maybe the guy could afford a slightly better used car…

  10. FYI — as is the case with most of these Berkeley cars it’s actually a woman who drives this thing. Typical for sure. I need to be back on the lookout for these maniacs.

  11. cheese says:

The stickers are covering the rust. Pretty soon this car will be made out of stickers.

  12. Bryan says:

Here is one I saw and had to try to get a shot with my phone while driving.

  13. HEYWOOD JABLOWME says:

Each of those stickers adds 2 horsepower to the car.

The ultimate cell phone story I have:
I was in Puerto Rico on a trip with family, and I saw a Cop on a motorcycle using a cell phone without a helmet. I wanted to follow him and watch him crash

  14. ioiosotwig says:

When I was in high school, 60’s, my friend would put an “STP” sticker over every rust spot on his “56 Ford, needless to say, it turned into a giant commercial. As a matter of fact, he had a floor board made from an S&H Green Stamp Sign…

John will now what I am talking about…
