Horse’s For Sale

I’ve long thought about fiddling with a restoration project. Something along the line of a WW2 vintage Dodge Power Wagon. There’s one just over the hill from where I live – still in Navy Air Base paint. But, the owner keeps it to move haybales and won’t part with it.

There’s this nice old Chevy I’ve been driving past on the way into town. I figured the truck belonged to a Man Named Horse – and it was for sale.

Well – I was wrong. And I don’t need a horse.

    If you’re expecting anybody to know how to use an apostrophe to denote possesive properly, you must be even older than I am. They stopped teaching grammar and punctuation back around the time “new math” came into vogue ;(

    You know every generation is just as dumb as the last and the next. Pervasive communication technology allows us to witness the extent to which we are, as a people, stupid. But we were just as dumb in the alleged “good old days”.

    Eideard, the url fit into the comment posting space when I typed it, I’ve got the TinyUrl add-on in Firefox, what we need is a comment preview gizmo. I then would have seen the url didn’t fit and fixed it. But thanks for fixing it for me!

    No, OhForTheLoveOf, we’re getting stupider and stupider by the generation. I’m starting to believe those Jehovah’s Witness guys who used to come to my door saying “the End Times are near”. Given the quality of critical thinking in evidence today, I’m tending to believe them. Sort of a reverse evolution thing. Going back to the apes. Or should that be ” ape’s “? Geez.

    #18 – Wow. I’d love to have one of those – though I’m pretty much committed to a pickup truck lifestyle.

    Maybe Citroen didn’t offer a diesel in the dealership versions; but, I’ve seen the critters as sold in the kit version [remember you could buy one in a crate and assemble it yourself] with a diesel fitted.
