Two Southern New Mexico men are recovering after accidentally shooting themselves while trying to trace a loaded .357-caliber Magnum as a pattern for a tattoo.

The Otero County Sheriff’s Department identified the men as Robert Glasser and Joey Acosta. Both are 22…

Authorities say Glasser was struck in the hand when the gun accidentally went off. Acosta was hit in the left arm. The injuries were not life-threatening.

Certainly nothing threatened their brain-power, either.

  3. Mac Guy says:

Guns don’t “accidentally” go off. They are negligently discharged. I wish people would stop referring to these cases as “accidents.”

#1- Do we really have to ask? I would imagine it’s self-evident.

  6. gregallen says:

These guys are hardly less stupid than the millions of Americans who endanger their own families by keeping guns in their houses to “protect” themselves from a criminal attack that has never happened nor likely ever will.

  7. Mister Catshit says:

    #3, Mac,

The “accident” would be if they shot them self in the head and missed any vital organs.

I’ve considered this issue carefully and I’d like to sum up my thoughts here:
