This guy is having a real bad day. Bonus: It looks like he gets tased at the end.

  1. tdkyo says:

    That’s why we need yoga.

  2. That’s why we need bigger offices..this place is ridiculous. LET PEOPLE WORK FROM HOME!!

  3. peter_m says:

I blame working in cramped cubicles!

    But seriously it’s sad.

    Peter

  4. peter_m says:

Anyone know the background on this guy’s story? Any links?

  5. Improbus says:

Wow, my cube is palatial by comparison.

  6. TatooYou says:

His co-workers inaction is just as bad as the hit and run clip. The first guy he hit over the head should have opened a can-O-whoop-ass on him.

  7. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

Never seen a monitor come loose from the VGA connector that easily….twice!

  8. andy says:

it gets better. notice the guy filming everything on his phone? well check this out:

  9. Les says:

#7, exactly what I was thinking. That kinda made me think staged.

  10. jim h says:

If it’s staged, it’s well done. But those cubicle partitions are heavy and normally locked together pretty well. I have doubts when I see the guy just grabbing them and flinging them around.

  11. Dave T says:

Fake – there’s a bunch of these going around. The just showed a similar one on Diggnation a couple of weeks ago.

  12. framitz says:

Not partitions he’s throwing around, it white boards and black boards. More clear on the Utube video linked by Andy.

It took long enough for anyone to actually try to stop him.

  13. Brandon says:

Yeah, when I saw the original video the first thought that popped into my head was that it was staged, (the guy starts out in the middle of the frame, seems to be doing things so that the camera can see it, etc.). The second video, however, suggests to me that it could be more real, someone genuinely gone berserk, especially since they seem to be yelling in some sort of Eastern European language. It could still be fake, but I’m definitely leaning more towards a genuine crazy person now.

  14. Gary, the dangerous infidel says:

At least with the rampage at this link, there’s no doubt that it’s staged…

  15. jim h says:

#12, at 1:53 he grabs a cubicle “wall” and throws it. But they look like crappy, temporary partitions.

What the heck is that sledge-hammer or croquet mallet or whatever it is he so conveniently gets ahold of?

  16. jim h says:

I guess it’s a coat rack. Funny that there’s a break in the video exactly at the point where he apparently grabs it.

  17. Jim says:

TOTALLY FAKE!! Give me a break! If someone were going on like that, a bunch of guyes would be all over him. Please.

  18. The Monster's Lawyer says:

    Whatever. He’s my hero.

  19. gquaglia says:

PC load letter? What the fuck does that mean?

  20. echeola says:

When I worked in the cube farm, I totally wanted to tear it apart.

  21. Why does somebody always have to spoil the fun by pointing out that it might be staged? Who cares?

  22. Jägermeister says:

    Here’s the translated version.

  23. chuck says:

    Ok, I admit it.
    It was me.
    I wasn’t off my meds.
    I had just installed Vista.
User Account Control was just driving me up the wall.

    Allow? Cancel?
    Kill! Kill! Kill!

  24. framitz says:

I doubt it’s staged, note the monitor hitting the woman in the face and chest. The monitor’s weight looked about right based on the way the guy threw it.

  25. ridlr says:

fake – camera date in corner says 6/2008. how come everyone is using crt displays? there may be one (or two)

  26. Mister Ketchup says:

My kinda guy! Jeez, I wonder what meds he missed. Maybe it was a tranquilizer gun.

  27. Jägermeister says:

#26 – ridlr – how come everyone is using crt displays?

There are quite a few offices who still got the good old CRTs.

  28. Mister Mustard says:

    http://eyegas.com/cubiclefreakout/

I got 82% for destruction, 100% for distance throwing the monitor. I could give the guy in the video a run for his money, even if I don’t have access to a pickaxe.

  29. Ron Larson says:

I saw that video, which game me two observations.

    (1) They cubicles are tiny! What a horrible place to work.

    (2) What kind of business sets up a surveillance camera of their office workers?

Based on these two observations, I think it was a crappy place to work and they might have had it coming.

  30. Miss_X2b says:

The date on the camera is 5/23/2008 and the time stamp starts at 12:10 p.m. and continues to change until the end of the video when it reads 12:13 p.m. This might be real, the time lapse of the camera is consistent with the length of the video. Those people are packed in like sardines in a can. No wonder the guy flipped out.
