Thanks Jonco.

Cow-Patty showing how to stop a 10 ton bus without drawing your weapon.

  2. dm says:

I’m starting to wonder if the X-Games are any safer than this kind of stunt.

  3. RBG says:

The real beauty of that and similar stunts is that the law of averages eventually catches up. Vegas counts on that bit of ignorance.

That said, bus drivers should be taught to suddenly swerve in an attempt to miss the unexpected appearance of a pedestrian.

90% of all “amazing” internet videos are fake and this is almost certainly no exception.

  5. hhopper says:

I figure it’s fake because the bus driver doesn’t respond at all. I would expect smoking tires, but who knows… maybe he’s used to this crap.

  6. Totally Fake says:

Look at his shadow and compare to the bus shadow. His is very long which means the sun was at an angle in the morning or late afternoon. The bus shadow is extremely short which means the sun was direct overhead when that was done from about 11am to 1pm. It’s overlayed. So easy to bust this one.

    >>Look at his shadow and compare to the bus

Ha! Well, the kid goes from stupid to kind of clever. I actually prefer that, since stupid is pretty easy to find.

  8. JoaoPT says:

Also look at the reflection in the water. There’s the bus, but no sign of the kid nor the car.

  9. bobbo says:

The shadows do look of unequal length to me but my tip off right from the start was the kids head is too high both at the start and end of the bus going over him. Would have been a hit for sure.

  10. ECA says:

ANd he kept his elbows UP..

  11. jccalhoun says:

my tip off was that it was on the internet.

  12. Totally Fake says:

The reflection is not the clue at all it’s the shadows. If you look at the reflection you see the tree tops and sky. The angle from the puddle of water only reflects the top portion of the bus. The bus is much taller than the boy.

  13. hazza says:

The shadows do give it away, that’s why the best time to do this sort of thing is when the light is diffused.

You get diffused light when it is overcast. The shadows are just blurry blobs and you can’t match them up.

  14. Mister Language says:

He’s getting up too soon. Also.

  15. deowll says:

He should have gone flat and hugged the ground.

I don’t think the driver would have had time to respond in a meaningful way traveling at road speed if it had been real. Too much mass in motion and not enough time to do more than maybe stand on the brakes but that still isn’t going to stop a vehicle in less than something over 30+ feet.

  16. Ron Larson says:

How do we know that the bus actually went over the guy? It looks to me like he on the right side of the bus. The bus went between him and the camera.

  17. Mr. Fusion says:

He was too high. The bus undercarriage would have creamed him. Just look at the back of the bus as it passes over him.

  18. Greg Allen says:

We’re seeing a new genre of magic developing, aren’t we?

Like the popcorn cellphone one. Or that one with the sunglasses.

    It’s cool.

  19. RMVX says:

    #6 – Nice detective work!

Still a good faked vid. Darwin awards for sure if it was real…

  20. Nicely Faked says:

The Shadows give it away and the fact the kid is getting up before the bus passes. His head pops up into where the ass end of the bus is.

  21. The Monster's Lawyer says:

I keep watching, hoping he gets hit. 🙂
