First Jim Cramer freaks out.

Here is the new White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs and his rebuttal.

Found by Erik Blazynski who thinks Press Secretary Gibbs won’t last long.

Tell us what you think!

  1. Dallas says:

Wait a minute. Are we just now coming to grips with how fucked up things are?

Oh boy not me. I was paying attention when told repeatedly things will get worse before they get better.

Did you shallow minds think Obama would provide a warm blanket in 45 days? Tell you what, instead of blowing hard here on Dvorak under cover, how about sending GOP leader Rush Limpdick an email asking him just why Obama needs to fail again?

  2. Tom McMahon says:

Unfortunately for him, Gibbs looks too much like Randy Quaid. Cousin Eddie explains the Obama Economic Strategy.

  3. Mr. Fusion says:

    #29, Ah Yea,

Are you saying Obama never said he would eliminate pork?

I asked you where he said it. By your own link,

Several news organizations made even harsher claims. The New York Times, for example, reported that Obama would sign the bill, earmarks and all, “despite campaign promises to put an end to the practice.”

That’s incorrect. Obama did not promise to end earmarking, only to “reform” it, and eliminate “screwy” or wasteful earmarks.

I didn’t say he didn’t promise to eliminate all “pork”. I asked you:

Can you show us where he promised there would be no pork?

You showed instead that he merely said he would reform it. In years past, most of the earmarks had unknown sponsors. This year they are all known. Obama has also promised that he will craft legislation reducing earmarks even more.

Your first link to World Net Daily contains obvious errors that continue to be trumpeted by the right wing nut losers. Such as ” … a Los Angeles-to-Las Vegas Magves magnetic levitation rail line that Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., backs.” That is just made up and does not appear in the bill.

From a link included in one of your links,

Speaking on “Face the Nation” on CBS, the White House chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, said Mr. Obama was not happy about the large number of earmarks in the bill. But Mr. Emanuel said the president had kept lawmakers from adding a single earmark to his $787 billion stimulus package and a $32.8 billion plan to expand the State Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Mr. Emanuel praised Congress for putting into place rules intended to make the budget process more transparent, particularly the requirement for disclosing the authors of earmarks.

Now, can you show us where Obama promised NO PORK?

  4. Mr. Fusion says:

    #38, Mr. Diesel,

    #29 Ah_Yeah

Mr Fusion would never let facts like what Obomba actually said and promised get in the way of a reasonable argument.

Especially considering my previous post #42, how very true.

It is so very tragic that the right wing nuts are still in the habit of making crap up or quoting their favorite AM talk radio jock.

  5. Paddy-O says:

    # 6 Carcarius said, “What would Bush be doing right now? I’m curious.”

Probably something similar to what Obama is doing. That’s the problem, neither of them have had a clue how the economy works, and how it was broke.

Gibbs needs to go. He’s an idiot and a liability to Obama.

  6. tomzer1 says:

Ugh…This guy Gibbs is as ineffective as his purple tie.

Cramer is good but not a genius, and yet I sure as hell wish Obama would have the smarts to pick someone like him for a finance cabinet position rather than unrelated PHDs, lawyers or favor-owed friends.

  7. Ah_Yea says:

    #38 Mr Diesel. Right again!

    Crazy Fusion, typical.
I set you up and you fell for it.

So now Obama is a run of the mill politician? “Well, I didn’t say there would be no more pork, only reformed pork.”

    HaHaHaHaHa!!!

Yes, my own link quoted above says “White House officials said Sunday that President Obama would sign a $410 billion spending bill that includes thousands of pet projects, known as earmarks, despite campaign promises to put an end to the practice.”

Oh, so sad. He’s “not happy about the large number of earmarks” yet still signed the bill. He didn’t send it back to Congress, he signed it into law. Why would he do that??

Like I said again, who is actually running the Democratic party? It ain’t the poster child.

  8. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

    Rush is running both parties.

  9. rajihammr says:

    #11 Madam….

Jimmy Carter planted a bomb that exploded 30 years later? Long fuse there. I think there’s a statute of limitations on assertions like that. It wasn’t the CRA that created the subprime mess it was greed.

  10. Paddy-O says:

    # 46 Ah_Yea said, “Like I said again, who is actually running the Democratic party? It ain’t the poster child.”

Are you saying he’s an Uncle Tom? That’s what the Dems claim of every Repub black pol…

  11. Winston says:

Give me a BREAK! I am an independent, not a dem, but it is absolutely brain-dead to blame Obama who has only been in office for 30 days for this crisis or its intensification. The Bush regime was doing nothing to actually fix the problem and the Obama regime is composed of the same people or their associates in The Fed and Treasury who are still providing non-solutions to the real problem – the still hidden toxic assets, the CDSs “insuring” them and various other fundamentally worthless synthetic derivatives. The figurehead in office has changed, but the oligarchy is the same.

BTW, Cramer is correct less than 50% of the time anyway, so you’re better off flipping a coin. You want the truth IN DETAIL? Read this guy’s stuff daily:

    http://market-ticker.org/

And his Market Ticker TalkRadio is fantastic.

  12. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

it is absolutely brain-dead to blame Obama

Listen to Rush today. He’ll give twenty-six reasons why it’s Obama’s fault, Clinton’s fault, and Carter’s fault. Each reason is, of course, brain dead, as is each fool who believes that huckster. Then Hannity will repeat them and add a few nonsense reasons, the Fox “News” team will use the reasons as rebuttal comments every time they invite a poor moderate on the channel, others join in the chorus, and soon the (R) politicians themselves believe it.

How many times before we catch on?

  13. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

    …Bob hasn’t caught on yet.

  14. Paddy-O says:

    # 54 Olo Baggins of Bywater said, “Bob hasn’t caught on yet.”

Omama is going to tank the country in LESS than 4 years?

  15. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

    If Rush says so.

  16. muffinspawn says:

Look, the stock market is a short-term indicator of confidence in businesses. It has absolutely nothing to do with long-term outlook. This fact is part of the problem with our economic system, so of course it’s just as messed up as the lending situation!

The market’s were already tanking when Bush was AWOL the last few months of last year. The stimulus package hasn’t even had a chance to work yet! I’m not saying I have 100% confidence in the package, but I also think nobody else has a damned clue how to fix this mess. I’d rather have seen less tax cuts just to get a clearer picture of how such a stimulus fairs in comparison to Republican dogma, but nevertheless we have to wait and see.

The bottom line is that blaming Obama now for fear in stock traders is meaningless in a 30-day time frame. I question anybody’s motives who thinks otherwise regardless of the president’s party or specific political views.

  17. Winston says:

    “Listen to Rush today”

    Oh, you mean “Fat Goebbels”?

  18. Mr. Fusion says:

    #29, Ah Ijit,

Fusion, sometimes even when I know you’re blind to the truth, you amaze me.

Are you saying Obama never said he would eliminate pork?
This must be a plain lie, you have lived under a rock for at least a year, or you are insane.

So that is what you said in post #29. Now you have done a 360 and are saying

So now Obama is a run of the mill politician? “Well, I didn’t say there would be no more pork, only reformed pork.”

    HaHaHaHaHa!!!

Yup. Whenever the right wing nuts get caught in a lie they obfuscate the issue and laugh about it. Normal people would be embarrassed and own up to being wrong. Especially when their links show they are wrong. They wouldn’t try the “well I set you up” bullshit.

Nope, the right wing nuts have no shame.

  19. Paddy-O says:

“White House aides indicated that President Obama will sign a $410 billion spending bill, even though it contains thousands of special projects or earmarks. The AP reports the White House “on Sunday downplayed massive deficit spending and President Barack Obama’s pledge not to sign legislation laden with billions in earmarks amid Republican criticism that he was recanting on a key campaign promise.”

Yep, just another lying, corrupt, pol. Change?

  20. Mr. Fusion says:

    #57, Alfie,

They support their assertions with facts…and can cite “impartial” facts and opinions supporting their assertions…

Bullshit. Boss Limpdick makes his crap up all the time. He doesn’t have any fact checkers on his staff. The true crime is that the right wing nuts continue to spout his bullshit as if it were gospel.

The right wing nuts are so afraid of this guy they won’t even speak their own minds without clearing it with him first.

  21. bobbo says:

#65–Alfie==too bad the leash law doesn’t apply to you. You should be made to pick up after your self.

    Drivel.

  22. madtruckman says:

this Gibbs guy needs to learn the words NO COMMENT. i understand that gibbs is the voice of the prez to media, but some questions really need not be answered. i also understand that what cramer and santelli both have brought up are valid points, but for a WH press secretary to feed the flames is not a good PR move. one thing i notice obama gets is the ACT of being president. the mannerisms, the speech, etc. obama gets it. gibbs is not putting forth the act that obama want portrayed. i do agree gibbs days are numbered, especially if he keeps up feeding the flames of discontent

  23. bobbo says:

    #69–alfie==”But facts are facts…

For example, Obama has done nothing to stop the stock market slide he caused…” /// Exhibit One: Dittohead Analysis.

    HAR!!!!!

    Why do you hate America?

  24. Paddy-O says:

All I see here are accusations, backed by data & then liberals name calling in response. Interesting.

  25. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

    Rush never twists facts

You have been assimilated (brainwashed). He makes you think he’s giving you the exclusive facts that only he knows and only he can explain, but it’s BS, a classic ploy. Rush is a cult, and you’re a dittohead* who goes so far as to defend him.

rational people just actions, not words,

I think I catch your drift. Rush is nothing but words. By your definition then, and mine too, he’s not rational. He’s insane.

*being a dittohead, by definition, means you’re not thinking for yourself. Get it?

  26. Paddy-O says:

#74, Thanks for proving my post @#73.

  27. Olo Baggins of Bywater says:

    Can you spell hypocrite?

    I knew you could.

  28. bobbo says:

#72–alfie==your bag must be filled by now. Do you use the inverted plastic bag over your hand or a scooper?

  29. Paddy-O says:

    # 76 Olo Baggins of Bywater said, “Can you spell hypocrite?”

Wow! You deliver on cue too.

    LOL

  30. Mr. Fusion says:

    #65, Alfie,

The facts are cited for all who read their articles…

I notice you don’t reference any articles though. Such as this High Speed Train from Disneyland to Las Vegas Boss Limpdick spent so much time ranting about.
