Two DeKalb County police officers have been placed on paid administrative leave after an investigation revealed they ran a background check on President Barack Obama.

A representative for the DeKalb County CEO’s office identified the officers as Ryan White and C.M. Route.

Officials said Obama’s name was typed into a computer inside a DeKalb County police car on July 20 and ran through the National Crime Information Center.

The secret service was immediately notified and contacted the DeKalb County Police Department.

It is unclear why the officers ran a check on the president.

Wonder if they’re nutball Republican birthers – or just a couple of boneheads who forgot what they were told about using the NCIC.

    #31, sorry
the oft reported “birth certificate” you refer two is shown here:

This is a “certification of live birth”. No one is disputing that he was born alive.

Here is what we are looking for

This is a “certificate of live birth”, big difference. It shows the hospital name, and doctors name.

This certificate belongs to a girl who was born August 5th 1961, allegedly the day after BHO in the same hospital. Somehow, this certificate issued the day after BHOs has a lower number….

  2. MikeN says:

No I wasn’t aware of the newspaper announcements. Still, the birth certificate is not the full state records.

To the contrary, “the state records” are the certificate. They are used to generate the more limited birth certifications on request. As the Jeffers post shows, these state records are far more detailed. They include, for example, the name of the hospital, institution, or street address where the birth occurred; the full name, age, birthplace, race, and occupation of each parent; the mother’s residential address (and whether that address is within the city or town of birth); the signature of at least one parent (or “informant”) attesting to the accuracy of the information provided; the identity and signature of an attending physician (or other “attendant”) who certifies the occurrence of a live birth at the time and place specified; and the identity and signature of the local registrar who filed the birth record.

    #32, Les and Lyin’ Mike,

I won’t matter what evidence you are shown, you will never agree that it is sufficient.

My personal birth certificate also says “Certificate of Live Birth”. That is what was issued to me when I requested one. State records have been attested to that what has been reproduced is true.

That two newspapers had birth announcements right after the birth is also clear evidence unless you believe someone posted those in 1961 with the intention of committing a fraud in 2008.

Keep it up. Please. Middle America sees the idiocy the Republicans are promoting. There will be an election in 15 months, will your losing candidate be a birther?

  4. Les says:

I am easily convenced. My post (#32) shows exactly what I need to be shown. What is to be lost by showing it to us?

Would you spend 100s of thousands of dollars to hide something that a simple phone call would resolve?

It makes no sense, something is wrong here.

  5. Les says:

I would like to see the college records, but the full birth certificate would satisfy me, and make the whole thing go away.
