When Seagrams bought Universal Studios back in the 90’s, president Edgar Bronfman hired Matt and Trey to make a film for the occasion. The result was a tad different than what he was hoping for.

  1. pecker says:

    Hilarious! Thanks Uncle Dave.

  2. sargasso says:

Isn’t that Steven Speilberg, doing the Shark?

  3. Buzz says:

And look how far they’ve struggled to become! Older and somewhat stupider.

  4. rfhigdon says:

I’d love to learn more about Seagram’s reaction!

  5. bobbo, a dedicate film buff says:

A little long for any but the anti-corporate artistic elite, – – – like me.

Too long to really be used to great effect. When did Seagrams buy Universal?

But even my boys (ie-Southpark===sic!!) don’t respect their audience. The HAD TO let Stallone tell us he was in on the joke. The only discordant note. Almost but not quite saved by Stallone’s parting shot.

  6. hhopper says:

Yeah Sargasso, I’m pretty sure that was Spielberg.

The short film Trey Parker and Matt Stone made for Universal Studio’s takeover of Seagrams (wine coolers). Has many guest appearances, like Demi Moore, Sylvester Stallone, and Stephen Spielberg. This is a hard to find video – even Trey says he doesn’t have it!

  7. fw says:

    I loved it! 😀
    Thank you!

  8. Uncle Dave says:

#5: Mid to late 90’s. Universal is now owned by GE.

  9. Jägermeister says:

    LOL – Funny!

  10. RSweeney says:

GE would arrange an accident for anyone who made this film about them.

  11. Mark T. says:

    As Cartman would say… “Sweet”.

  12. sargasso says:

#6. thanks for that. Steve rocks.

  13. peter_m says:

    LOL,
why did they stop main movies as good as this clip?

  14. Ah_Yea says:

    That was too funny! Excellent!

No wonder Matt and Trey ended up at Cartoon Network (part of Turner) and not Universal.

  15. Wretched Gnu says:

This was really well done. The voice-over script especially has all the touches of those weirdly condescending 1950s-era films. Matt & Trey clearly studied them…
