Entourage Edge is G-pad in a way. And the closest of any “tablets” from CES to satisfy my demands for such device. Main weakness of it (again for me) – Android OS. If tablet side of that device was any normal Linux distro’ I’d pre-order it, and yes than it wouldn’t be G-pad anymore but Lin-pad.
Glen Murphy from the Chrome OS team posted a Chrome OS tablet concept video which is driving all the news stories about “G Tablet”.
If the Woz says it’s so it’s so.
I’m surprised Woz can fit his enormous gut into a Prius. Besides, what has this guy done since he was (essentially) booted out of apple that has made anyone sit up and taken notice (and sitting on numerous boards doing nothing DOES NOT COUNT).
But he hasn’t done ANYTHING noteworthy since.
Showing up and being a celebrity of sorts while being paid handsomely to be a name on a board member list or 10 doesn’t qualify him to be a car expert all of a sudden.
I don’t know how the Prius does it, but the cruise control in many Fords, at least, use a chain or cable between a motorized drum and the car’s throttle.
The motor is drum’s motor is controlled by software (well, firmware), and can be confused by RF in the vehicle, including Ham (or CB) Radio. Or just decide to stick….
With so much fly-by-wire, this may not be common today, but that’s a definite (and known) failure mode….

Buggy software. Chevrolet is having power steering issues. Technology takes all the fun out of danger. Instead of eliminating cockpit pilots, we should of eliminated drivers. We could be driving drones or have drones driving us. The road looks icy. How dangerous. God is making the road unsafe. Looks like a snowware problem. I’m drowning in a whiskey river. We’ll keep you possted.
