Aliens have landed, infiltrated British nuclear missile sites and deactivated the weapons, according to US military pilots.

The beings have repeated their efforts in the US and have been active since 1948, the men said, and accused the respective governments of trying to keep the information secret.

The unlikely claims were compiled by six former US airmen and another member of the military who interviewed or researched the evidence of 120 ex-military personnel…

One of the men, Capt Robert Salas, said: “The US Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases and we can prove it.”

He said said he witnessed such an event first-hand on March 16, 1967, at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana which housed Minuteman nuclear missiles…

Col Charles Halt said he saw a UFO at the former military base RAF Bentwaters, near Ipswich, 30 years ago, during which he saw beams of light fired into the base then heard on the military radio that aliens had landed inside the nuclear storage area.

He said: “I believe that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted – both then and now – to subvert the significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practised methods of disinformation.”

Well! I think we should get right on this.

Who will be the first to ring his congress-critter and ask for an investigation?

  1. Improbus says:

A better question to ask is whether or not the U.S. or Great Britain have adequate safe guards on their nuclear weapons. Anyone remember the incident a few years ago when they loaded 6 nuclear cruise missiles on a B-52 and flew them over U.S. soil … by MISTAKE?

  2. Ah_Yea says:

    “and we can prove it”.

    Yea, ok. I’m waiting….

  3. You can't handle the truth says:

So the commander in charge of a NATO Nuclear Weapons storage facility is either lying, delusional or easily duped. So, what would be your expert opinion on this incident?

  4. sargasso_c says:

Either aliens are in charge of the arsenals, or lunatics?

  5. jescott418 says:

OK, you have to wonder why such Air Force personnel would go to such links if this were not true. Yes, I agree is very hard to believe. But I think considering the detail and the fact the British have released some classified document that confirm the British claim their is UFO’s and they are not from this Earth. For me its not about what is true and not true. The fact that these sightings have occurred for decades is enough to warrant more information from our Government. I do believe they know more then they tell us.

  6. Improbus says:

They can’t tell us. It would violate the Prime Directive. (snort)

  7. You can't handle the truth says:

The official explanation for the Bentwaters incident was that what they were seeing was light from a lighthouse.

All those men and Colonel Halt mistook a stationary light from a lighthouse as an Unidentified Flying Object, on three successive nights.

    Sure, got it.

God sent aliens from a more civilized planet to intervene for our own safety.

  10. Awake says:

Sometimes you have to wonder if aliens have not taken over the postings on this blog.

BTW… I was wondering why there are rumors that all US nuclear weapons have been moved to Arizona… it makes sense now with the new anti-alien laws… unless the aliens are not here illegally… ohhhh… the plot thickens…

  11. deowll says:

I’ve seen UFOs but the problem is I don’t know what they were. If I’d known what they were then they wouldn’t have been UFOs.

I suggest that someone ask Adam C. to ask Congress to investigate the issue. He knows more about the subject than I do and maybe more than you do. The good news is he won’t be risking his reputation.

Right now I doubt if you can get the attention of a congress critter unless you wave money at them or offer them some free air time or something.

  14. Cursor_ says:

Ok what do these aliens look like? Are they the standard almond shaped eye humanoids so beloved by UFO fanatics?

If so, what are the chances of alien life developing in a way that mimics the shape of humans down to the head being on top of a two legged body with a torso and other limbs exactly like our own?

Now what are the chances of them developing technology to travel vast distances of space?

Now what are the chances of them even coming here?

Now what are the chances of them even giving a flying fuck over fission weapons that are ONLY really devastating within an atmosphere like Earth?

I would be more likely to win the lottery 100 times on a Tuesday every time and be struck by lightning the following day while eating a chocolate chip pancake with a horse and a penguin.

Again the call to reason and logic outweighs anything said by these guys or anyone else when it comes to UFOs or extraterrestrials.

If they said that there were hippies hanging out at the missile sites I would have believed that more than creatures from another planet.

Hell I would even take nazi lesbian eskimos in pigtails over aliens.

There’s probably more truthiness about UFOs in “Independence Day” (which was a hoot, especially the Brent Spiner cameo and the hero hacking the alien ship with a Mac laptop) than there is in this thread.

  18. Cap'nKangaroo says:

Okay. We have some former US Air Force members who say they have seen things around missile silos. How about UFOs around air bases storing nuclear bombs (for B-52s/B-1/etc)? Or how about UFOs around US aircraft carriers that almost certainly have some nuclear weapons on board? Or underwater UFOs harassing subs carrying Submarine Launch Ballistic Missiles.

So the aliens were only interested in nuclear tipped missiles? Or maybe unable to detect or approach anything but the lonely missile silos? Can travel between solar systems, but worry about high explosive missiles?

    Sorry, not buying their story.

    #15 Alfred.

Since you insist on interjecting politics in a totally apolitical post, I would suggest that you read the following TRUTH and feel the blood drain down to your feet:

Americans’ Incomes Sank After Bush Tax Cuts

    An excerpt:
Even if we limit the analysis by starting in 2003, when the dividend and capital gains tax cuts began, through the peak year of 2007, the result is still less income than at the 2000 level. Total income was down $951 billion during those four years.

Average incomes fell. Average taxpayer income was down $3,512, or 5.7 percent, in 2008 compared with 2000, President Bush’s own benchmark year for his promises of prosperity through tax cuts.

    http://crooksandliars.com/jon-perr/americans-incomes-sank-after-bush-tax-cut

Read the whole thing… and if you can still spout your lies, you have proven that there isn’t a single god-fearing cell in your body.

#19. Either educate yourself or don’t comment. I really hate it when people don’t read the articles then make inane comments.

“How about UFOs around air bases storing nuclear bombs (for B-52s/B-1/etc).”

Bentwaters is exactly that scenario. The article explains just that. Frigging Kangaroo, back in your pouch.

  21. Mr Fog says:

    # 5 jescott418 “you have to wonder why such Air Force personnel would go to such links if this were not true.”

Hmmm. Stories from 30 and 40 years ago puts the officers in their late 60s to mid 70s. Look for the book deals. That retirement check doesn’t go as far as it used to. What with grandkids needing college tuition and so on…

  22. Rob Leather says:

This must be why the MOD don’t want Trident. No point having it if aliens are just going to mess with it.

    Makes perfect sense.

    😀

  23. Counterweight says:

Okay. So let’s find out. Fire off a few missiles at Tehran and see if the alien overlords stop them in midair.

If they do, then situation solved.
If they don’t, then problem solved.

  24. cheapdaddy says:

Nothing to worry about. I’m sure Torchwood has everything under control.

  25. Cap'nKangaroo says:

    #21 Tomas said

first quoting me “How about UFOs around air bases storing nuclear bombs (for B-52s/B-1/etc).”

    Tomas responds
“Bentwaters is exactly that scenario. The article explains just that. Frigging Kangaroo, back in your pouch.”

First point, this is the ONLY part of the article referring to an actual air base (ie planes as opposed to ballistic missiles).

Second point, the article said this: “Col Charles Halt said he saw a UFO at the former military base RAF Bentwaters, near Ipswich, 30 years ago, during which he saw beams of light fired into the base then heard on the military radio that aliens had landed inside the nuclear storage area.”

“The site was then the base of the US 81st Tactical Fighter Wing.”

Thirty years ago would be 1980 when the 81st was flying the A10 Thunderbolt, having just moved out of the F4 Phantom II. In no way way, shape or form would these tactical planes be considered a B-52 or a B-1 or a
B-2 or any other SAC plane.

And having read the article I find absolutely no mention of an naval incidents. So maybe the aliens only have a beef with the Air Force. Or maybe this is such a pile of complete utter BS that even a Truther or Birther would say “You can’t really expect me to believe this, do you?”.

In my opinion the “Crackpot” designation is much to mild for the article. But Tomas, if this is what you need to believe in to get up out of bed in the afternoon, then so be it.

  26. LoTechNo says:

The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street

The episode begins in late summer; Maple Street is full of playing children and adults talking. A shadow passes overhead and a loud roar is heard, accompanied by a flash of light. Later, after it has gone dark, the residents of Maple Street find that their machines no longer work, and there is no power.

They gather together in the street to discuss the matter. One of them, Pete Van Horn, volunteers to walk out of the neighborhood to discover the extent of the problem.

Another resident, Steve Brand, wants to go into town but Tommy, a boy from the neighborhood, tells him not to.

Tommy had read in his comic/action hero books an alien invasion is taking place, and Steve will not be allowed to leave.

Furthermore – as part of this invasion – the aliens have insidiously placed within the neighborhood a family that appears human.

The power outage is meant to isolate and contain the neighborhood.
