  1. green says:

Demonizing nuclear serves as a catalyst for more solar power initiatives. The sun worshipers are winning.

I wonder how long before radiation levels in food coming from the west coast get reported. It’s going to be a summer for the history books.

  2. green says:

    …. good show BTW.

  3. bobbo, had enough dogma today? says:

Green says it is good, so I clicked. Sorry–I don’t care about JCD driving his daughter to check out colleges, nor what Adam is eating for breakfast. There really should be an outline of where different subjects are addressed for those of us who are not groupies.

[The show is not for you. Find something else to complain about.
    jcd]

  4. bobbo, had enough dogma today? says:

Thanks PedoBear – yea, I guess thats a start but the various subjects should be TIME STAMPED otherwise the sequence with all the unnoted chaff is next to not that helpful. ………. and looking at the notes, they actually are not helpful at all. “Movie” alone? How about at least the name of the movie?

ie–just a bit of PROFESSIONAL work done once by someone who is proud of the show RATHER THAN making every listeners slog thru it.

You really do want more than groupies to follow your show.

BTW, the posted graphics to these shows really are very well done. This one is rather generic but some are pure art.

  5. ® says:

I’m trying to pinpoint the date when the title Executive Producer assumed the same significance as Associate Manager at McDonald’s.

  6. TooManyPuppies says:

The Ian Punnett jabber happened a long time ago. He explained the next day that he had taken Ambien or something.

  7. bobbo, had enough dogma today? says:

JCD–I apologize. I know I have been making the same complaint from the start. OK, you win. But why not make the program interesting/accessible to more people?

Have it your way. Now that you have responded, I rest assured its an actual decision on your part.

  8. Just as a non-judgemental data point, I stopped listening about 3 months ago and haven’t missed it. I’m no longer frustrated by Adam’s rants or bored by Dvorak’s clips of television shows that I’d already decided on my own not to watch.

I also don’t miss thinking angrily, “that’s not what a fucking meme is”.

Why waste energy or time pushing back against something that is what it is?

If you’ve given money to the show in the past and believe that it buys you some sort of input, it doesn’t. The money which you donated to the show of your own free will buys you nothing but a mention on the show. Spending enough money buys you a strange audible ceremony. Buying the merchandise designed and created by other listeners buys you only the item and the meaning you attatch to it. You never pay enough money to shape the show.

So let go. If you decide to continue listening, then that’s a choice you’re making.

  9. diane says:

Bobo, you’re single right? Of the variety single that is insufferable. One of those people who talk to hear their own voice (perhaps with food dropping out of your mouth and the table manners of a HUN).
I’ve met lots of men like you guys and can sum it up in a two word tribute:self-absorbed. In fact, more self-absorbing than an overnight sanitary napkin. Only self absorbed.
The biggest issue you cite is that Adam and John talk about THEIR lives, means that they don’t talk about YOU.
No Agenda IS about Adam being a little crazy and putting HIS spin on the world view, and John talking about things around him, what he watches, and what he’s observed. It’s not earth shaking — just like listening to two people talking. It’s another point of view. One you might not agree with. But it IS mostly amusing, sometimes interesting, and occasionally insightful. But, more — its just two people talking, which has some charm.
I’m sure that is where you get lost, the concept of TWO PEOPLE TALKING. (I see, but am sure you don’t.)
It’s okay, why don’t you just stamp your feet and shout: “what about MEEEEEE?” “They don’t talk about what I want them to talk about, they aren’t doing it right, they aren’t saying what I WANT them to say, and they aren’t NOT talking about the stuff that reminds MEEEEE that I don’t have any kids, or any life”. Boo-f*ck*ng-HOO.
I think JCD is right..if all you can do is complain, maybe you shouldn’t listen. Perhaps you should go out and, oh, I don’t know, FIND A LIFE?

  10. bobbo, Republicans are Killing America says:

Well, I’m glad I checked back.

I am reminded of “Point/Counter Point” on Saturday Night Live. Jane you insufferable …. and it goes on from there. Funny stuff.

So, Diane, why the hostility? I’ll let it pass.

My interest in the issue is from time to time I see a subject or two of interest to me is talked about on “No Agenda” but I really am NOT INTERESTED in the small talk and the other subjects. I’m not asking for the other stuff to be removed, and its quite natural to talk about nothing to get the juices flowing, but I’m not interested in that. Why subject me to what I don’t want to get to what I do want? A timeline seems to me a perfect marketing tool. Those with the time and interest can listen from start to finish. Those who do not can jump to what they hope interests them. John and Adam to carry on as they please.

Seems to me everyone wins. What the harm in that?
