Well, that was quite a performance by Romney. He kept agreeing with Obama’s handling of many issues while not only stating positions that were opposite from previous statements of his, he argued that he never held those previous positions. Bizarre! Oops. Sorry. This is politics. Nothing new.

Who Won The Last Debate?

  • Obama
  • Romney
  • Tie
  • Who cares? I voted already.

I am finding it all very weird.

  2. jbenson2 says:

At end of tonight’s debate, I think Obama whispered to Michelle to start packing.

  3. Vote once says:

    Good job by Romney.

  4. Joe Pocolardee says:

I just don’t get it. It all seems so fake and such a waste of time. They are both douchbags. I just don’t understand why the public lets this charade carry on.

    • jbenson2 says:

      And your solution is…?

      • msbpodcast says:

My solution is don’t bother with elections.

        You want a representative government?

Pick non-criminal citizens names, put ’em all in a metaphorical hat (you know a non-networked computer would be involved instead) and select/i> the representatives, not elect from a bunch of self-anointed millionnaires (who are immediately going to owe favors and money, lots and lots of money, to the people who paid for their election.)

I’d sooner have you representing me than s0me 1%er. (What does a 1%er know about life?)

  5. Dallas says:

Obama was on fire! Horses and bayonets zinger just sank mitts 115 battleships. Lol. What an moron this Mitt guy is on foreign policy.

As Bill Mahr put it, Mitts foreign policy strategy is : “what he said, but from a white guy”.

Really folks , Mitt was horrible in this debate. Just rambled on creating 12 million jobs for white Jewish women in Ohio, …blah blah blah … 12 million…women .. I love teachers..blah blah.. Iran has horses and we don’t …blah blah..bagel and schmeer…blah blah

  6. jbenson2 says:

Romney came across as the President and Obama came across as the challenger.

    • Dallas says:

The last debate being the economy would have helped Willard. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it was forging policy and Willard clearly was weak and lost for words.

The best he can do was agree with Obama to be perceived as credible. You know it was bad for Willard.

On a positive for Willard, a large percentage of Sheeple do believe we are at a Cold War with Russia.

    • Ah_Yea says:

Great call Jbenson2. I didn’t see that right off but with Obama launching personal attacks right from the liberal playbook, he did seem like an amateur.

      • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

Yeah. Obama “should have said” I am criticizing the policy positions of the Republican Party that got us into the mess I’ve been digging us out of for the past 3 years. You need to answer for yourself why you identify with them.” In other words: go f*ck yourself and every Puke you pal around with.

I don’t know why the country is so evenly split when Obama is so clearly more qualified than Rmoney and his lying pandering ways. He wants women’s rights for the Middle East while he busily wants to take them away from Women right here in America.

BUT THERE IS A GOD=====WHO IS LISTENING THIS TIME: RMONEY, THE CAR GUY===<<>>> is going to lose because in Ohio they know he tried to sink GM.

There can’t be any sweeter irony. Eat it Car Guy!!!

Silly Pukes–trying to elect a Vulture Capitalist as a job creator. Pull my finger.

  7. What? The moth is always drawn to the flame? says:

    Sloganeering.

  8. TooManyPuppies says:

Obama + Romney + 1 knife & 1 parka, exiled in Antartica. The only way God can prove its existence once and for all is to make that happen.

  9. Ah_Yea says:

It’s obvious Romney won. He didn’t attack Obama personally, he attacked Obama’s record.

Agreeing with Obama on certain issues. Brilliant!

This portrays the image that Romney is the kind of guy we would like to work for, and not the other guy who came off as a badmouthing backstabber who never gives anyone any credit.

Ergo, Romney is the more mature. Not acting like a 6 year old.

  10. MikeN says:

Obama once again helped Romney get elected with his own replies. Here he said, thinking he was scoring points, that Romney is now agreeing with Obama on Iran. Mr President, you and Biden had agreed the plan was to say that Romney would start a war with Iran. Biden did better than you.

In the second debate, Obama should have cut campaign commercials of Romney’s saying that he was against deporting people. Instead, Obama replied that Governor Romney’s plan is to make it so uncomfortable for illegal immigrants they will leave.

Pretty sad when John Kerry is better than you.

  11. Bob Andweave says:

After people said Biden “won” his debate and after Obama “won” the second debate, the polls showed us who the real winner was.

The debates are not a contest to be won or lost like some High school competition. The debates serve only one function; to inform undecided voters. I do not need to say Romney won and my opinion does not matter if I already know who I am going to vote for. The polls this weekend will show us all who won this debate.

If you want to argue that Obama won the debate even after polls show him losing ground; you are not just a river in Egypt.

  12. MikeN says:

You can tell who won from the reactions of the media. Soledad OBrien had a group of voters. She asked
who changed their mind on voting, lots of hands went up, and then she didn’t ask them who. Chuck Todd played a clip on the auto bailout, with both guys saying people can check the record, then did not say what the record showed, namely that Obama was wrong.

  13. MikeN says:

The Messiah has hand-delivered the election to Romney. He had Ohio won, then declared that Romney would not go to war with Iran and would get illegal immigrants to leave. Heckuva job, Barry.

  14. MikeN says:

After last night’s debacle, the Obama Campaign is now talking about how they can win the election without Ohio. All they need to do is win Iowa, Nevada, Colorado, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin.
This is funny because previously David Axelrod had conceded Colorado and Wisconsin to Romney, building a firewall of Ohio, Iowa, Nevada, and New Hampshire.

  15. msbpodcast says:

Nobody’s opinion was changed; it was all a farce and theatre, just like the TSA.

Get rid of the 1%er scum and pick your representatives from amongst yourselves.

How much proof do you need?

The person who is going to preside next will oversee the next economic cycle wipe out his party along with the current world economy.

Hang on tight because fiat money is going to become worthless.

Land will be the only thing of value left.

The the solution will be the destruction of the banking system.

  16. MikeN says:

You guys might be right that Obama won the debate. Romney jumped out early in InTrade, but perhaps this was Republicans experiencing a sugar high. The number is trending back down as money moves in towards Obama. The 75% return I talked about earlier is gone, now down to 70%. Might even get as low as 65%.

  17. MikeN says:

Now we know why Obama was so nervous. His campaign tried to get Romney to publicize fake stories that Obama was a coke dealer in college, but the Romney campaign wouldn’t bite. His ultimate October surprise failed miserably. Is this what Donald Trump has been talking about?

Now if it were about Ann Romney, we know it would get network coverage no matter how thin the sources, as they eagerly publicized a book that accused Laura Bush of being a drug dealer.

  18. Howard Beale says:

Romney NOW agrees with Obama on so many issues I wonder if he is planing to vote for him.

I bet the NeoCons are hopping mad they’re Rominee could not even wait till the election to flip on them.

  19. deowll says:

Romney doesn’t agree on the economy nor on some other key points and people just don’t seem to care who “won” the debates as much as they care about the economy and the national debt. Romney still seems to be succeeding in selling his points in the debates.

    • Dallas says:

..people just don’t seem to care who won the debate..

That’s a half-assed, loser/liar way of coming to terms with the fact that Romney sucked ass, lost the debate and knows nothing about the complexity of foreign policy.

      • MikeN says:

Oh, you’re right. Please place some bets on InTrade and collect your winnings now. We’d previously established you should bet on Romney, though I know don’t remember why.

  20. deowll says:

Oh, if you are an Obama fan you can go to his web site and read his economic plan. Yes he finally has one. It took until two weeks before the election and it looks like BS to me but at least Romney can’t point out that Obama doesn’t even have a plan he can challenge any more.

    • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

Dallas whipped your ass just above, and then as a gentleman, turned away from further torture.

What part of Rmoney’s economic plan appeals to you?

Minus 5 Trillion, minus 2 Trillion, minus 1 Tillion equals Plus 1.750 Trillion?

The MATH don’t add up. Its even worse than saying you support Detroit/Ohio when you said “Let GM go Bankrupt!”

The truth==what a whip to lay across your bare buns exposed to the world. ….. Oh, the Horror.

      Idiot Puke.

      • The0ne says:

I have to agree with Boobo here, the math just doesn’t add up to make any sense, even just plain old common sense.

  21. SPOCK says:

i did my duty and tuned in last night and was bored
to death twenty minutes in. i quit watching after an
hour. hopefully the third party debate tonight will
be a little more intelligent (and entertaining too).

    • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

Your “duty” is to inform yourself so that watching the debates arises to something more than playing with yourself.

You might be half hooman, but the other half is not Vulcan.

      Silly half being.

  22. MikeN says:

80% return to bet on Obama. If this keeps up, you can double your money betting on him!

  23. MikeN says:

You guys need to move faster. There’s an election to be won, and Obama needs all hands on deck. Why no post about the Senate candidate who said it is part of God’s plan for women to get pregnant through rape?

And Mitt Romney’s divorce records are going to be unsealed! Gloria Allred to the rescue again!

  24. MikeN says:

So the summary of the debate from Obama’s liberal supporters:

Romney agreed with Obama a lot.
    Romney doesn’t have a clue.

  25. deowll says:

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/10/24/us-usa-benghazi-emails-idUSBRE89N02C20121024

The WH had the information it needed to at least say something rational rather than pushing a total brain fart for more than two weeks. They even had video from the embassy and drones.
