This ad, featuring clips of Mitch McConnell, Pat Roberts, and many other Republicans implies that austerity cuts to the CDC and NIH are responsible for the 2014 Ebola outbreak.

Considering that the CDC director is saying that halting flights is a bad idea, they should cut the budget, starting with the director’s salary. Now reportedly the person who cared for Patient Zero is infected. Still no flights halted, just some questioning at JFK.
“Did you meet anyone who had ebola”
    “No”
    “Welcome to America”

Obama loves to give speeches to make it look like he is doing something.

On Sept 16, President Obama spoke at CDC. The chances of an Ebola outbreak in the U.S. were “extremely low.” The U.S. has increased airport screening so that no one with the disease can fly here. “In the unlikely event” someone with the disease does enter the country, he said, the government has taken “new measures” to assure that doctors are trained and hospitals are ready “to deal with a possible case safely.”

3 days later, Thomas Eric Duncan left the house in Liberia he had been sharing with a mortally ill Ebola patient. He lied about his contact with the woman, then boarded a plane for Dallas by way of Brussels and Washington’s Dulles airport. On September 25, he walked into Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, nauseous and feverish. Despite his recent exodus from Liberia, no one thought to test him for Ebola. Three days after that, he was finally admitted, and only then after a friend called the CDC.

Is that what the kids are calling it, these days??

    Some points to ponder..

This has been happening for MANY MANY years.. the USDA and FDA cant monitor more then 8% of Food producing and restaurants in the USA..
They cant even monitor the GMO foods..they dont know what the corps are even doing with our food, byproducts, and OTHEr stuff we are eating..

As every company DOES.. when you CUT, you cut from the bottom.. Which means the ones that DO THE WORK, get fired, and all thats left is a BOSS..with nothing to do..

But even with all these cuts, since the 70’s… do we get any money back? NOPE..does Gov. cost less? NOPE.. it all gets funneled to OTHER POCKETS..

Something MANY of you may not know. is that EVERY major development in the USA has been PAID for by YOU..paying taxes.. From the RAIL systems, to parks, to the freeway system, and even the CELLPHONE system…Internet, and UPDATES to the internet, should have been finished YEARS ago, and was PAID for by YOUR TAXES…

Who is complaining the MOSt about government? the CORPS..they dont like regulations..Many of them started in the 70’s for pollution controls and food protection..

Yeah but they can do studies on what makes a happy marriage. That is part of their mandate right? Not the last time I looked but under Obama who knows? The Obama WH does what it wants without regard to legality.

I don’t think budget cuts are really to blame here (though they don’t help either), but it’s the lack of awareness/training necessary to help fight this disease.

That poor nurse’s probably got infected by not following the proper procedures not for lack of equipment.
Removing a hazmat suit that has been infected on the outside is kinda difficult.

    • MikeN says:

Special office was set up ten years ago for preparing for things like this. Notice how the holder of this office is not speaking in public. She was too busy sending money to special interest lobbies than to spend on doing her job.

  5. MikeN says:

Thinking in the Obama Admin and the CDC and other bureaucracies is like this on the morning of 9/11(From the Commission Report):

FAA Command Center: “Do we want to think about scrambling aircraft?”

FAA Headquarters: “God, I don’t know.”

FAA Command Center: “That’s a decision somebody’s going to have to make, probably in the next 10 minutes.”

FAA Headquarters: “You know, everybody just left the room.”

  6. MikeN says:

Kevin Spacey played Ron Klain in Recount. Before that Spacey played an ebola doctor in Outbreak. So Obama decided that Ron Klain must be an expert on ebola.
