There’s supposed to be, what, 9 more of these movies and counting??

    Star Wars spelled B-U-R-N-E-D–O-U-T

Who would have guessed that a thought that you could have had as a child, to see a new Star Wars movie every year, would have turned out to be something that you are beginning to dread seeing unfold now that you are an adult.

This is the age where the studios are trying to milk audiences out of every dollar by playing on nostagia from public for things from their childhoods.

I guess this is what happens when the people who are now in charge are the ones that grew up with these types of movies.

I was kind of sad after 4-5-6 because there were no more. Then 1-2-3 came out and then 7 and I realized they should have stopped at three films.

Some movies lend themselves to sequels and prequels and some don’t. While I’m at it, I don’t want to see Indiana Jones and The Temple of Fallen Walkers either.

Interstellar was good I like almost all of it.

    Prediction:

As people become tired of Star Wars, the quality of the movies will follow suit.

First few movies will have high production quality,
The next few will be ok with obvious corner cutting,
and the last few will be like the Star Wars Holiday Special.

I thought this was a prank.

    Disturbing.

Why not just make a TV series to ruin the Star Wars brand faster?

It would be more efficient that way.

    • Gasparrini says:

There was The Clone Wars animated series. Now you can watch Star Wars Rebels, another animated series on Disney XD.
James Earl Jones has been reprising his role as the voice of Darth Vader in the series.

For quite some time Lucasfilm was interested in doing a live action TV series. Rick McCallum, who was one of the producers of the prequels, gave an interview saying that the series was going to be similar to Game Of Thrones, which is something that a person familiar with SW would never say and is so far removed for what SW actually is. Hearing that makes you wonder how a person capable of uttering such a sentence was ever in charge of producing the prequels.

What a sour bunch today! We are going to see Star Wars from a different angle. I thought the trailer was intriguing!

    • Hmeyers says:

Disney doesn’t know how to make movies except cartoons.

I expect them to continually pump out poor “television miniseries” type plots

But with big budget special effects.

The new “Star Wars”, they couldn’t think of a plot so they had to re-use the plot from a New Hope.

    • Hmeyers says:

The tell-tale sign that this movie will suck other than it will be the story of a girl rebelling against her mother figure.

(*expect her parents to be dead, its a trope).

Is that this movie has Forest Whittaker in it. He has a distinct look, but is a B-movie actor who hasn’t been in a name brand movie this century.

Plus Disney felt the need to put a stereotypical Asian martial arts dude in the movie — you know, to be cool and hip.

“Star Wars” will be a reliable turd factory in a couple of years. In 5 years, they may stop making movies because they won’t generate profits over their large budgets.
