Meh. Cats do the same thing.

  2. bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

Dogs don’t respond to images….but rather smell. Of the two hypo’s…I would be concerned the TV is about to short out.

    • McCullough says:

Not true. You are probably not a dog owner. Having said that I think the dog was responding to the loud noise.

      • Mr Diesel - Go Trump Go!! Beat Hillary Like a Snare Drum says:

Or a command off camera telling it to lay down.

        Rigged

      • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

McCullough: no dog currently…never noticed “watching tv” in any animal I have owned. It is very much as you have noticed: other aspects of the tv: sound, motion, smell….but not content.

From memory….many animals “on first exposure” do notice the “image” on the tv or mirror and do investigate it….but without any smell they learn there is nothing there and ignore it.

        Dumb animals: wiser than people.

    • Don't blame the dog says:

The dog is reacting to the camera guy who pooped his pants.

  3. TheInvisableJCD says:

My dog watches TV with sound and no sound, he responds the same way. He hates violence on and will pick up his toy and leave the room. When he sees a dog (even with the sound off) he will pick up his toy and look at the dog on the tv. He knows all of the commercials, he know the ones with animals and dogs. When he started to watch tv he would go to the back of the tv and try to see where the images were coming from… if there were running horses he would run in the same direction and find out their not there on the other side. Dogs can see the video is on tv… (I was a person who thought that dogs can’t see the video on tv… not anymore.)

We going to ignore the fact these people are showing them stealing a movie in theaters?
