His days were numbered, in more ways than one.

  1. Hmeyers says:

This is the time of the year that partisans will back their candidate no matter what.

So will just be a lot of name calling.

No deep thought is to be found here like during the primary season.

  2. Cristof says:

So what percentage of Bernie supporters will stay with Hillary, or go elsewhere?

  3. MikeN says:

For all his delegates and power, he couldn’t even get Debbie’s scalp? What a wuss.

    • Hmeyers says:

      That does surprise me.

Bernie could have had big leverage if he wanted to.

He could have been like “Treat me nice, adopt certain things or I’ll endorse Trump.”

How does one who thought some of Bernie Sanders principles and ideas were a good thing — like his position on trade agreements that only benefit Wall Street — or how he wanted to break up banks to avoid “too big to fail”

      — how do you reconcile that with Hillary?

Hillary *is* special interests, lobbyists and Wall Street banks and anti-consumer and anti-worker trade agreements like the TPP.

Well, if that’s how hard Bernie will fight for his ideas, maybe it is better he goes away now.

      • MikeN says:

He was never interested in winning, like I’ve been saying for months. I’m really shocked that he didn’t get anything in return for all his leverage.

It’s Trump’s failure to make Bernie see what to do.

  4. MikeN says:

Why would he endorse Hillary, before she has gotten the nomination wrapped up?

    • Hmeyers says:

His main shot after the primaries were over involved the FBI recommending to prosecute.

When that went away, so did his hope.

      • MikeN says:

The FBI recommending to prosecute was more likely the more he fought over the issue and threatened to run third party.

  5. Likes2LOL says:

All hail Queen Hillary; resistance is futile.

Question is, will she banish all the nubile interns once she’s in the White House, like a lion killing the male cubs in a newly acquired pride? Remember, Hell hath no fury…. 😉

  6. bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

I was gonna say “Whats wrong with Bernie…..” endorsing Hillary instead of no one or one of the third parties? Does he want change to the institutionalized fraud that has become our gubment….or doesn’t he?

then….I looked at the party platform for the Libertarian Party. Wadda bunch of fruitcakes……kinda turns me towards Drumpg just to blow it all up. Green Party? Never really looked at them.

Sounds good though. I like green.

    • Hmeyers says:

Sadly, it’s about money and power.

The Clinton Foundation is a big slush fund under the guise of a charity, which takes money domestically or abroad.

It spends 82% to 90% on administration costs and salaries.

All of the greased Clinton friends in the Democratic party are going to be loyal to that money.

They figured out a way to effectively do organized corruption and make it tax deductible and take foreign money.

The problem with corruption is that the Clintons like Wall Street money and foreign money.

They’ll sell out workers and the middle class with trade agreements and outsourcing and giving banks and large companies new rights.

      Oh well …

      • MikeN says:

They bought out the unions under the first President Clinton. Jimmy Hoffa Jr managed to go to court and get the corrupt Teamsters election overturned, where the Justice Dept looked the other way in exchange for union money going to Clinton, but that is all.

    • MikeN says:

I’m wondering if he would blow it all up, or get blown up.
The Democrats would be looking to impeach from Day 1, and so will a number of Republicans. It’s a matter of whether the Democrats would let him stay to make Republicans look bad, while seeing if he can be with them(not the politicians but the party members) on trade deals and going after banks and hedge funds.

      • Hmeyers says:

Hillary spends $57 million in battleground states. Trump spends $0.

Result: Hillary drops in the polls in all the battleground states except arguably Colorado.

What a awesome candidate she is!

        • NewFormatSux says:

          That is flat out wrong.

          Trump spent 3.6 million.
          Hillary is too awesome!

  7. Hmeyers says:

” “Today, Bernie Sanders will be endorsing one of the most pro-war, pro-wall street, and pro-off shoring candidates in the history of the Democratic Party. The candidate who ran against special interests is endorsing the candidate who embodies special interests. The candidate who ran against TPP is endorsing the candidate who helped draft the TPP. The candidate who ran in opposition to globalization is running against the candidate who has led the push for globalization. The candidate who warned that open borders destroy the working class is endorsing the candidate with the most open borders policy in our history. The candidate who wants to reform H1-B visas is endorsing the candidate who supported lifting the caps on H1-B visas. The candidate who wants less war is endorsing the candidate who launched wars in Iraq and Libya and would lead us to a new war in Syria. The candidate who wants to get money out of politics is voting for the candidate who has made a career out of making money from politics.

Bernie’s endorsement becomes Exhibit A in our rigged system – the Democrat Party is disenfranchising its voters to benefit the select and privileged few.””

  8. Painfully Obvious says:

It is clear why Bernie endorsed Clinton, just doing whatever it takes to keep Trumpette anywhere near the Oval Office. Which, based on his reaction to the Nice terrorist attack, is very much a good thing. We do not need his xenophobic, racist , alarmist attitude any where near ‘the button.’

    • Cristof says:

      Embrace the suck.

    • NewFormatSux says:

Is there any evidence from the last 50 years of Trump’s going off the rails and behaving in a risky fashion?

What makes you think at age 70 he will suddenly start wars on a whim, especially with his personal properties all over the world?

      • Bingo says:

        +1

      • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

Trump IS off the rails. Do you mean…… get farther away???

He has stated he will wage war on ISIS (ie–Syria if not Iraq as well).

There is military/kinetic war BUT there is also TRADE WAR….which could be every bit as damaging to USA and everyone else….and he has declared that against all other nations.

There is religious war as well…..and the Drumpfter has done all but INVITE fundies to attack us……. not that that might not be inherent no matter how resolutely not said?

        • Bingo says:

“He has stated he will wage war on ISIS (ie–Syria if not Iraq as well).”

That’s good, since liberals have no stomach for effectively screening or regulating who comes in to the United States.

          I like Newt’s approach:

“Let me be as blunt and direct as I can be: Western civilization is in a war. We should frankly test every person here who is of a Muslim background, and if they believe in Sharia, they should be deported.”

“Sharia is incompatible with Western civilization. Modern Muslims who have given up Sharia, glad to have them as citizens. Perfectly happy to have them next door.”

Enough of the Obama and company crap:

          • jpfitz still feeling black and blue says:

Newt is a intelligent man while kicking the first amendment in the ass. I can’t even imagine how to bring every American Muslim in for a test of faith.

It’s like asking, cake or death.

          • NewFormatSux says:

JP, I have seen stores in America where they certified their consistency with sharia law.
Not just halal, but that the product had been handled only by Muslims.
This was not in Dearborn or any other Muslim area.

        • NewFormatSux says:

Wage war on ISIS, he has also said he would let Russia and Syria and Iran fight ISIS. Some of the other candidates were eager to declare they didn’t want Russia fighting in Syria, with Christie and Kasich(the supposed moderates) declaring they would shoot down Russian planes and Assad must go.

Trade war, he declared he wanted a better deal for America. He basically sees it as other countries are benefiting more than we are, so he would adjust things. He is in favor of trade, but not as it is currently happening.

Religious war, you been paying attention?

        • Hmeyers says:

” the Drumpfter has done all but INVITE fundies to attack us”

Ah yes, France nightclub attack was because of Trump.

Orlando nightclub attack because of Trump.
          San Bernadino because of Trump.
          Brussels because of Trump.
          Nice because of Trump.
          Charlie Hedbo because of Trump.

Stupid statements like that are why I don’t trust partisan people.

They just make up shit and say its true.

          Even if it nutrageous.

          • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

            HM—I feel your pain.

What you miss is that the invitation is not for you or me.

When Trumps statements show up in recruitment ads on ISIS websites and facepages…..you may devine who takes his Fear Mongering Pandering as invitations.

……….or you can keep your head in the sand and not recognize that words have meaning…… and that meaning is different for different groups.

……………Or……..do you think YOUR values are identical to any other Jihadist Fundie??

          • NewFormatSux says:

Good to know they are paying attention to what he’s saying. So maybe the next time they think of doing something, they will remember “I’ll bring back waterboarding and a whole lot worse!”

          • pedro says:

Dumbbo is running out of straws to clutch onto.

          • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

NFS: Whats getting played is his statement against Muslim Immigration and his threat to Nuke them.

            ………..and yeah……..

……………..They do listen to the Great Satan.

          • Hmeyers says:

            Ah, Bobbo.

You think there is a difference between your partisan screed …

Versus the turd sammich that comes out of Glenn Beck’s mouth.

Versus the stuff spewed by the jihadists.

All of you are a threat to my religion of science.

          • NewFormatSux says:

I wonder how many of these countries would we willing to let Americans immigrate?

Now here you are opposing Trump for policies you support.
