The Telegraph exposes the carbon trading fraud:

But outnumbering these familiar names, hundreds of UK companies selling anything from hair loss treatments to electronics have mysteriously registered to buy and sell carbon permits in the Scandinavian nation – mostly in the last 18 months.

While many are bound to be genuine individual private traders playing the carbon markets, investigators are examining the possibility that some of these unknown UK-based companies have used the system to commit “carousel” fraud linked to VAT.

According to sources, the Danish registry may be at the heart of Europe’s problems with carbon trading fraud. Local media has repeatedly raised the fact that few, if any, checks are done on new traders and approval can be much quicker than in other countries.

Just wait, the biggest scam of the century is barely getting started.

  2. me says:

WOW! Am I ever surprised at this. Who would have imagined that such fraud would happen in current times.

What we are seeing created with this carbon credit BS is the biggest “money for nothing” business to ever come about on this planet, other that the U.S.A.’s Federal Reserve.

If it actually comes into full swing, we will witness the biggest, greediest, financial feeding frenzy known to humanity.

None of this carbon trading has anything to do with saving anything. Just another financial angle to exploit.

  3. Milo says:

Hmmm. The same right wing that complains that this is some commie plot is now complaining that the private sector is making money on it…

And the one person who stands to make the biggest profit, the biggest charlatan of our time, Al Gore.

    So what?

  6. me says:

    @ 3# Milo

More of a libertarian than right or left. Maybe I should have clarified that greed in our current fascist system knows no politics, either left, right or center of the road.

Both sides of the coin are involved in the current economic meltdown and profiting handsomely along the way. And both sides will profit as well with the carbon scheme.

Until we get past this right wing, left wing mentality and realize that the PTB use that as nothing more than a distraction, we will never be able to hold those accountable who are robbing us blind.

    Very true. Nailed it.

Oh c’mon, a child could see that carbon credits was just a shell game from the beginning.

I bet there are plenty of retards out there who still this they will work. Most of them voted for Obama.

What’s the issue again? I’m pretty sure you guys don’t have a clue what you’re bellyaching about but it sounded good.

  11. Derek says:

Yep! I never dreamed things could get more screwed up than when Bush was in power. Now, it’s so corrupt, it will take decades to repair what was screwed up in just one year. Nice job liberals. You sure showed us!

  12. Pagon says:

Dear Derek and all you other wingnuts.

Yeah, everything was fine until the moment the (dark skinned) Democrat got elected. You all came out of the woodwork the minute he got elected – before he even took office.

Just STF UP you @ssholes. Go screw up some other blog.

  13. gquaglia says:

#12, funny, he didn’t mention anything about “dark skinned”. I love how you liberals try to make everything about race when any dissent is mentioned.

  14. Skeptic says:

#1, #2, #4, #6… yep. Just waiting it out. The whole AGW house of cards will be down within a year.

I go with #8 and the others who say this is exactly what they expected and expect.

The biggest joke is even if the alarmist are right the real estimated sea level rise by the UN is about the same as last century and the reduction of CO2 in the atmosphere if the US goes with Cap and Trade are negligible while the pain is going to be very real. How many people than we can reduce the use of fossil fuels to about 1919 levels?

There were a lot fewer people, a lot fewer vehicles and a lot more horses. My family along with many others heated with firewood. We used manual pumps to get our water from wells or springs. The living was hard and people died young.

biggest swindle in the world tends to be GIVING money to those that didnt earn it.
Blow your nose and PAY someone BECAUSE YOU DID.
ALL this will do is raise prices to consumers, for products that ARENT THERE.
This is not accounting all the other chemicals created, that REALLY arent being regulated/legislated.. over the last 20 years..

  18. Rick Cain says:

All carbon credit trading will do is keep dirty factories and powerplants running in poor neighborhoods, while helping fund new, cleaner factories and powerplants near wealthy areas.

No wonder the rich want it.
