My presentation to the Humanist Community in Silicon Valley on how to become a genius.

I’m hoping this video will be inspirational to people to become smarter and spread the word. It’s so very easy to become smarter and if we all do it the world will be a better place.

“I Don’t Feel Noways Tarred”

(Reuters) – Hillary Clinton, under pressure from the left wing of her Democratic Party to aggressively campaign against income inequality, voiced concern about the hefty paychecks of some corporate executives in an email to supporters.

Striking a populist note, Clinton, who announced on Sunday she was running for president in 2016, said American families were still facing financial hardship at a time “when the average CEO makes about 300 times what the average worker makes.” “I definitely see the push from the left wing, which I think is great,” said Jared Milrad, a Clinton supporter who appeared in a video launching her campaign for the presidency.

Milrad said he saw the populist rhetoric as a sign that Clinton “has been listening” to backers such as himself who want her to embrace some of the economic policies pushed by Senator Elizabeth Warren, a hero of liberal Democrats. Warren favors tighter regulation of big banks and a bolstering of the social safety net.

DENVER (CBS4) – A CBS4 investigation has learned that two Transportation Security Administration screeners at Denver International Airport have been fired after they were discovered manipulating passenger screening systems to allow a male TSA employee to fondle the genital areas of attractive male passengers.

It happened roughly a dozen times, according to information gathered by CBS4.

According to law enforcement reports obtained during the CBS4 investigation, a male TSA screener told a female colleague in 2014 that he “gropes” male passengers who come through the screening area at DIA. Although the TSA learned of the accusation on Nov. 18, 2014 via an anonymous tip from one of the agency’s own employees, reports show that it would be nearly three months before anything was done. According to the report, the TSA investigator then watched a male passenger enter the scanner at DIA “and observed (the female TSA agent) press the screening button for a female. The scanner alerted to an anomaly, and Higgins observed (the male TSA screener) conduct a pat down of the passenger’s front groin and buttocks area with the palm of his hands, which is contradictory to TSA searching policy.”

And as usual no criminal charges for our overlords, ever, from the top down.

A friend on mine named Phil from Springfield Mo. pointed me to this. He said he lost over 80 pounds in 69 days. He did the juice fast for 60 days and he’s eating again and still dropping weight.

Above is a picture of an attempt in January that experienced a RUD. (Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly) But tomorrow SpaceX will try again at 4:33pm eastern or 1:33pm Pacific time. If it works – history will be made. I’m watching it live.

No go for today. Next launch attempt at 4:10 easterm 1:10 pacific on Tuesday April 14.

Go Elon! WooHoo!

The is a followup to my last article Turned off my Cable TV. It’s been 3 days and I’m not missing anything. In fact – it’s better. It reminds me of 2000 when I moved to California and decided, why do I need a land line when I have a cell phone? And it reminds me of when I switched from Windows to Linux, although that transition had pain involved.

So far everything I watch can be watched on the internet. And I don’t have to be there when it comes on TV. I can watch it when I want. And I can pause it if the phone rings. Sometimes I need to hunt a little to figure out where to get it. but …

I just got tired of paying more and more for less and less. They raised my monthly rate to $135/month and late last year they made a change where I had to use a cable box, which I hate.

But the real killer – I turned on MSNBC and there they were – talking about Monica Lewinski and the possibility of Donald Trump running for president and I just wanted to rip my eyes out. TV is making me stupid. The news media are drug pushers, nothing but bad news, and in an age where things have never been better. I’m tired about knowing who got shot, who was hit by a train, the culture wars, it’s like they are sucking my brains out through a tiny straw.

So I think everything I need to watch is online and I have a Chromecast device on my TV so I can watch it on the big screen. I can initiate shows from my computer, cell phone, or tablet. So I’m going to see how it goes. Change my lifestyle. Get away from the idea that things come on at a specific time. Get rid of the obsolete idea of “channels”. And I’m saving $80 a month. I’m still using the Charter internet which is just $51/month for 60mb.

Thoughts?

Hillary Clinton is almost certain to launch a bid for the presidency. But at least for now, she’s determined to keep the public guessing about her stance on NSA spying. As Edward Snowden’s revelations forced the issue to the fore of national debate, she kept mum, even as other prospective candidates staked out positions.

On Tuesday, the technology journalist Kara Swisher raised the subject of surveillance while questioning the former Secretary of State. “Would you throttle back the NSA in the ways that President Obama has promised but that haven’t come to pass?” she asked. Clinton’s successfully evasive answer unfolded as follows:

The World’s Water Supply Could Dip Sharply in 15 Years

They claim global warming will lead to droughts worldwide. But – as we all know – more heat – more evaporation. More evaporation means more rain. I’d have less of a problem with this claim if they were warning of floods and storms. But warmer is wetter. World wide higher temps means more rain – not less. This gives science a bad name.

Now that Ted Cruz is running for president Americans needs to ask ourselves if it is ready for a Canadian born commander in chief. I for one am calling for Ted Cruz to release his birth certificate and to explain why he waited till 2013 to renounce his Canadian citizenship. And he hasn’t yet renounced his Cuban citizenship. We Americans need to understand how it is that he even qualifies to run for president as someone who has only been exclusively an American citizen for only 2 years.
