The 2010 election showed that Americans want politicians that at least will say they want to get back to Constitutional principles and reduce spending – Palin will do that.
All Republicans have to do in 2012 is run Nancy Pelosi’s speech in 2006 after taking over as Speaker where she boldly proclaims “No more deficit spending!” and then proceesed to rack up $3.2 TRILLION in deficit spending over the next 4 years. The national debt and printing funny money is coming home to eat us alive. At some point we will hit $10 a gallon for gas but if we do it in the next few years it will be due to the devaluation of the dollar rather than an absolute lack of product however China may be able to bid us out of the market using the interest they are getting on our national debt and their trade surpluses.
I would add that I wouldn’t purchase a bond issued by the state of CA nor from many of the municipalities in that state nor is it the only state in that condition. I would not purchase a long term bond from the US government either.
What it will take to keep this nation from going under are things nobody can do and stay in office and as soon as you undo them we are back under water and drowning.
