Wouldn’t it be better to find a Democrat to replace Obama who could beat any Republican? Or for Obama to govern better (that should be easy) so that he could win fair and square? This is either a joke that some are taking seriously or after their November bashing, Dems are looking for a Hail Mary to hold on to the WH.
What is the purpose of your web site [PrimariesForPalin.com]?
Our purpose is to have Democrats and Independents help to nominate Sarah Palin as the Republican candidate for president in state primaries. In numerous head-to-head polls, Palin is the only likely Republican candidate who would soundly lose to Obama in the general election. All other likely Republican candidates either beat Obama or are statistically tied with Obama. If Palin is nominated, Obama’s chances for reelection are greatly improved. How can a few thousand votes in each state make a difference?
Since several Republicans will likely run for the presidential nomination, it will be easier to influence that vote because of the number of candidates. A few thousand extra votes for Palin could make a difference. In Iowa in 2008, Huckabee beat Romney by approximately 11,000 votes. In New Hampshire in 2008, McCain beat Romney by approximately 13,000 votes. Are you afraid of Palin winning the presidency?
We are afraid of any Republican winning the presidency. However, having Sarah Palin as the Republican nominee gives Obama the best chance at reelection. While having Palin so close to the presidency is a bit of a calculated risk, numerous polls show that Obama would soundly defeat Palin.
Here’s one take on the website. Here’s one from Alaska.

Bob–nah, years ago I learned to make my resolutions so as not to be disappointed a year later. Been happier ever since.
But answer me this. What’s wrong with name calling? I keep getting criticized for this and yet no one ever says why it is bad? Just another truth people would rather hide by one manipulation or another?
What have you got against the truth Bob?

“If the Republicans did this, would it be decried as dirty politics? I think so.”
In the expression “dirty politics” the word dirty is completely unnecessary. Politics always has been and always will be dirty by it’s very nature. Read about the elections of 1800 or 1828 or 1876 if you want to learn about dirty.
Americans vote their pocketbooks, despite all the left wing/right wing posturing that goes on.
If unemployment is still above 8% in October 2012, Obama will be a one term Pres. If unemployment has dropped below that, he will be re-elected.
I have nothing against truth other than the obvious fact that YOUR version of the truth is not always THE truth. But keep on giving us your version, Bobbo. It’s quite entertaining at times.
Now Bob–how can you be so mean? “The Fact is” i do always tell the truth, because I don’t speak on issues that I do not have the truth on. I’m not dogmatic or partisan, I’m fact based. Facts change over time, as do my opinions. The truth is I can be wrong, and when its pointed out to me, I change to conform with the truth. Amusing No?
Now, why shouldn’t people call each other names? Isn’t it an exquisite short hand?
Don’t you think it is DISHONEST ((ie: Not truthworthy)) to call anyone out on a subject and then have NOTHING to back it up with?
I think so.
Ha, ha.
((I’m just a blowhard, but proud of it. Mind the wind.))
Obama will have way more illegal immigrants and all the people who exist on welfare to back him. He’s the “welfare” president. Also– how can anyone hope to beat Obama when he’s the media darling. Why, he’s the next best thing since Jesus and sliced bread ! At least that’s what the main-stream media will have you believe. And again he’ll win yet another prestigious award that he will have done nothing to earn– getting re-elected.
How is that “Change You Can Beleve In” going for y’all? Do you “Believe” it yet?
Just you wait. If you think the country’s messed up now, just wait till Obama gets through with it.
“What’s wrong with name calling?”
My oh my, it’s hard to believe that a would-be intellectually such as yourself could ask such a question. I’ll leave it to your ever-expanding search for truth and understanding to answer that question for you. I’m pretty sure you’ll find the truth is it makes you sound like a rather small person intellectually.
Bob–no, not at all. Name calling is just as stated: “an exquiste truth.” Why avoid it?
Bob–wassssup? You got no argument at all but you don’t want to change your mind?
Bob–do you think your impression of only caring about how I might look to others is your only concern? How altruistic you are.
An idiot ((my statistically most uttered name called–for whatever and a variety of reasons)) is defined as: “a person of subnormal intelligence”
Look at scadragon for an active example. Why should ANYONE not simply call scadragon an idiot if they choose to pet him on the head at all?
Bob–why do you think it is a good thing to give idiots more credit than they are due? Isn’t that in essence lying? Yes, I think it is.
Bob–I demand that you withdraw a statement you cannot support. You know what kind of person does that…………yes, you do.
Now–why shouldn’t people call other people names==especially on a blog. Especially on a blog advertising itself to be uncensored.
Bob–why are you in your own little …… way trying to censor people? If not censor, why do you criticize people without explanation?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Heh, heh.====Yea, I’m just about tired of it. buts its the New Year and I had to test my resolution. ((I passed.))
Boy, not this Dem.
Palin has already poisoned the political process with her reckless meanness.
Although I’m a Democrat, I’m hoping for a return of a functioning Republican party.
The current GOP obstructionists, bomb throwers, nut-cases and corporate shills has killed our two-party democracy.
And this his horrible for America. There are so many problems we need to solve and the completely dysfunctional Republican party is making even modest fixes darn-near impossible.
Greg A==you are exactly right. Not the same ol’ GOP. But too many hold onto labels after the product has long since spoiled.
But there are what? 30% of Pukes who admire Palin to some degree for some purpose? 30% of electorate are Pukes and what about 50% turnout rate? …………5% of the Public and 9% of the voters are “for” Palin. That sounds about right. Non front runners even less.
I would only add “anti-science bible toting fundies” to your list. Maybe in fairness you could have said half of that? Ha, ha.
Yep, only an irrational nutcase votes Puke and that would be true REGARDLESS of whatever you think the shortcomings of Obama or any other Dem is.
Suck It.
That’s why I wanted that cunt Hillary nominated last go round.
Maybe…maybe…
Palin is truly hopeless and these Democrat guys want her to get nominated so their guy will win in 2012…
or…
Palin is VERY viable and the seed has been sewn in the minds of Democrats (by dark Republican operators) that she can’t possibly win so they’ll pull for her and cut their own throats…
or…
Palin is indeed political poison who can’t win in ’12 so a Democrat mole (hiding in the group of Republican schemers)has convinced the Republican schemers to encourage the idiot Democrat rank-and-file to try to get her nominated to run against Obama in 2012..
or..
This political intrigue stuff nests infinitely. I have to stop here because I have a job and a life, unlike politicians.
Palin will probably run but it’ll get dirty real quick. Big business doesn’t want her. Those on Medicare and Social Security won’t want her when they realize she’ll gut their protection. That will leave only a small group of loyal followers who can’t see past their own wallets and hate America.
The establishment Republicans will either have shut up the tea baggers over the next year, or we’ll have a third party. I can easily see the tea baggers becoming a rump in the Congress. A third party would split the right wing vote.
Beohner will either have to show he can be above the partisan politics by being responsible or bring Washington to a standstill. That won’t sit well with the tea baggers. If Beohner heeds the tea baggers then the electorate will see just how poorly the Republicans will govern in their interests.
Starting over the next six months and lasting past the ’12 election will be tax simplification and a general tax hike debate. There is NO fat left to cut, regardless of what the far right wing nuts claim. The States and local governments are failing now. This is what Beohner and the Republicans will be faced with as a responsible government. Ignoring the problem, as Chris Christie recently did, will only cause the whole country to collapse piece by piece.
The Democrats have a much easier road. All they need to do is stop allowing the Republicans to control the message. The democrats had more than enough successes to trumpet from the past two years. They failed to do that in ’10. They’ll do better this year.
But it’ll be a cold day in hell that Palin will ever be the Republican nominee.
Fusion–thats a good review “except” the move to cut into bone is already being talked about: uping the age to retirement for Soc Sec, repealing Obamacare, reducing Unemployment Benefits, probably cut Student Loan Programs etc. None of it will survive an Obama Veto which is how the Pukes will try to frame the issue: We did what is needed, but Obama Blocked It==Vote Puke.
Shutting down the Government over raising the National Debt Limit. Lots of Pukes talking out of both sides of their mouths over the issue.
A rumped Congress? Ha, ha. Very hopeful idea that “the public” will have the shit washed from their eyes and see the Pukes for what they are.
All such needless hurt and carnage. But, its coming time to pay the Piper. Another big issue: how to handle State Bankruptcies. Every thing in place to bail California out, except the money? ha, ha. Yes, no more money-Bush done spent it all with Obama caught in his wake.
I hope “reality” finally informs our Masters and States are forced into an ad hoc bankruptcy procedure: do away with corrupt retirement plans etc. Maybe that will “trickle up” to Congress?
I don’t know if my fingers are crossed, or merely just bent at the knuckles.
Alfie–who are you responding to?
It will happen again and again. If that is the sort of candidate the media programs the masses to vote for.
Oh you are responding to me? Oh, Lordy, Lordy.
What have you got today:
I recall in the heady days of the immaculation, // immaculation?==don’t really know what you are referring to but its still funny. Good on you.
you and Fusie declared Republicans a dead party, /// I have never said that. My constant complaint is that they still exist. They, and the attitude YOU display is evil, corrupt, and most irronically SELF DESTRUCTIVE ALFIE–even if you are in the top 2% wealth robbers in the USA, you’re death will only come slower. I don’t recall Fusion ever saying anything close to that either but I don’t follow him any more closely than you follow me. Why are Straw Man and Fall Arguments the only ones that PUKES put up? Why is that Alfie?
admonished us to become Democrat like, pray Homeland Security doesn’t put us interment camps. /// Again, No-. More madeup crap.
You were both full of yourselves. /// Well Alfie–who isn’t?
I tried to point out America is center right, that we don’t want Big Brother telling us what to do, and taking our money to give to those who won’t work. /// Again, no body likes that or supports that beyond what is needed to have a stable society allowing for harmonious intercourse.
You do, and project your derangement on the country, and suppose its far left loon…that Obama proved that when he was elected. /// Anyone who thinks Obama has governed in any way except center right is a loon. I guess you see a bit of yourself everywhere you look Alfie.
But he didn’t run on bankrupting the country, on the ground zero mosque, on open borders for undocumented Democrats, on prosecuting white only civil right offenders, on transferring massive funds to Soros front groups and investments, wall street cronies and foreign banks… /// I’ll wait for specifics and links.
Remember how he was going to cut the deficit, go line by line…what a liar! /// I agree. I wonder if he lied, or “had to” change his mind for one reason or another? He claimed a national emergency the first time, then really did fail to perform after that. Don’t forget transparency and time to read the bills and quite a few other promises as well.
So he fooled many of us, we voted for the loon…it won’t happen again…/// Alfie, did you vote for Obama?? Only an idiot votes “for” any politician. When you gonna grow up?
Sorry to break it to you, the Tea Party is mainly about getting free government money.
This is nothing.
I would call your attention instead to two things that actually have negatively influenced the national process.
First is the caucus process. Imagine the president being chosen by, to misuse a term, “live-blogging.” That’s basically what it is. A lot of people jabbering at each other in an enclosed space.
It maximizes the views of the extreme arguers, or at least most durable arguers. The advantage goes to candidates with first class GOTV and targeting operations( aka MONEY) rather than how well the candidate matches with local views. Caucuses are primarily intended to suck as much cash out of visiting campaigns as possible.
Second, and related, is the sacred status of the early voting states. This might be even more destructive than the caucuses, in a directly practical way. No candidate that suggests decreasing agricultural subsidies is a viable presidential candidate. Imagine running the big fund-raising tour and telling the money men you plan on blowing the first contest.
There is nothing more ridiculous than US agricultural subsidies and protective ag trade policy. No politician is going to move against this huge distortion, and waste of money, because Iowa is special. Very special indeed.
Chris–accurate in the examples you give but America has and could prosper if we were only in the pocket of Agribusiness. Unfortunately that isn’t so.
# 49 bobbo – “Alfie–who are you responding to?”
Please do not feed the loos.
In a way, …’s bald assertions of faultlessness in the face of adverse actuality is charming. You have to love a guy who is never right but sticks to his guns. He does so because his core beliefs—the theories and hypotheses that drive his predictions—are just too pretty to give up. He cherishes his theories, he pets them and speaks softly to them, he lavishes gifts on them and upon others who can appreciate the same beauty he sees—and he savages those who would call them ugly.
So who do you think this describes?
#59: Ummm Hitler ?
#59 – errr… looNs.

When was gitmo closed?
Doesn’t matter !!! The Pukes don’t have any viable candidates – just OLD, FAT, WHITE MEN, many of whom are BARELY COVERED UP RACISTS, and Women who are largely NOT QUALIFIED TO BE THE FIRST EXEC. !!!
Palin is a QUITTER whose brand is non-sustainable !!!
O’Donnell is NOT A WITCH !!! (and doesn’t even know the Constitution !!!)
Whitman and Fiorina, while RICH (AND THE REPUKES LOVE RICH ) BOTH LOST !!!
So what’s left ???
P.S. to above: The Pukes don’t have any viable candidates – just OLD, FAT, WHITE MEN, many of whom are BARELY COVERED UP RACISTS and/or RELIGIOUS FANATICS !!!
It’s true, Obama has been center right. Can someone please point out to me how Obama has acted differently from Bush with regards to Iraq or Afghanistan, with the exception of Bush didn’t say that Bush’s policies were a failure?

What flavor coolaid you been drinkin?
I found I could be a much more effective Sarah Palin fan if I quit reading halfway through her book.
