Not to take anything away from Michael Phelps as the greatest in his sport, but there was once another in another sport in the Olympics who was considered The Greatest.

Sight from Sight Systems

Romney’s horse is really America’s horse in the Olympics because we helped pay for it. He got a $77,000 tax deduction and that means that people who work for a living paying wages have to pay more to make up for the difference. No wonder he doesn’t want to talk about it.

Knight Capital Group said losses from yesterday’s trading breakdown are $440 million, almost quadruple its 2011 net income and more than some analysts had estimated, and the firm is exploring strategic and financial alternatives. Its stock has lost 66 percent in two days.

Every day, lately, he’s been saying stupid things. Either he’s incompetent or his staff who would be with him if he won is. Or, again, the Republicans want to throw the election because they know they can’t fix the economy so might as well let Obama win and take more of the blame so as to win in 2016 when the economy has recovered.

Hmmm… Throw the game now so they can play later. Badminton anyone?

Republican presidential challenger Mitt Romney hailed Poland’s economy Tuesday as something akin to a Republican dream: a place of small government, individual empowerment and free enterprise.

While it’s true that Poland is one of Europe’s fastest-growing economies and boasts dynamic entrepreneurs, Romney’s depiction of Poland as a place of small government is debatable. Even 23 years after throwing off a communist command economy, the Polish government continues to have a strong presence in people’s lives: it gives women $300 for each baby they have, doubling that sum for poor families; it fully funds state university educations; and it guarantees health care to all its 38 million citizens.

Japanese engineering firm Fasotec has taken prenatal memorabilia to literally the next dimension with “Shape of an Angel,” a miniature 3D replica of the fetus as it lay in the womb.
[…]
The fetus is first photographed using MRI and the resulting image data processed using special 3D software. A 3D printer is then used to construct the model, using clear resin for the mother’s body and white resin for the fetus.

But I thought his commercials implied that he would make things better if he’s elected. I guess he was only talking to his rich friends.

Mitt Romney’s plan to overhaul the tax code would produce cuts for the richest 5 percent of Americans — and bigger bills for everybody else, according to an independent analysis set for release Wednesday.

The study was conducted by researchers at the Brookings Institution and the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, who seem to bend over backward to be fair to the Republican presidential candidate. To cover the cost of his plan — which would reduce tax rates by 20 percent, repeal the estate tax and eliminate taxes on investment income for middle-class taxpayers — the researchers assume that Romney would go after breaks for the richest taxpayers first.

They even look at what would happen if Republicans’ dreams for tax reform came true and the proposal generated significant revenue through economic growth.

Those damn ungrateful poor people should be happy to make those better off richer!

4 years ago first time candidate Obama makes a European trip that was very different than Romney’s. Romney met supporters behind closed doors. However the Romney supporters probably had more money than all these people put together.

So all you wanna-be mass murderers listen up! Get your Facebook on before stocking up on guns and ammo!

According to this article printed in tagesspiegel.de, not having a facebook account should be the first sign that you are a mass murderer. […] As examples they use Norwegian shooter Anders Breivik, who used myspace instead of facebook (or as they put it, “largely invisible on the web”, haha @ myspace), and the newer Aurora shooter who used adultfriendfinder instead of facebook. So being social on any other website isn’t good enough, it has to be specifically facebook that people are using.

But what about people who commit murders because of FB? So, both being on and not being on Facebook is bad? AAAggghhh!!!

A father who was upset after a Tennessee couple deleted his adult daughter as a friend on Facebook has been charged in the shooting deaths of the couple, authorities said Wednesday.

Call me a converted skeptic. Three years ago I identified problems in previous climate studies that, in my mind, threw doubt on the very existence of global warming. Last year, following an intensive research effort involving a dozen scientists, I concluded that global warming was real and that the prior estimates of the rate of warming were correct. I’m now going a step further: Humans are almost entirely the cause.
