– Obama accused Romney of proposing a $5 trillion tax cut. Not true. Romney proposes to offset his rate cuts and promises he won’t add to the deficit.

– Romney again promised to “not reduce the taxes paid by high-income Americans” and also to “lower taxes on middle-income families,” but didn’t say how he could possibly accomplish that without also increasing the deficit.

– Obama oversold his health care law, claiming that health care premiums have “gone up slower than any time in the last 50 years.” That’s true of health care spending, but not premiums. And the health care law had little to do with the slowdown in overall spending.

– Romney claimed a new board established by the Affordable Care Act is “going to tell people ultimately what kind of treatments they can have.” Not true. The board only recommends cost-saving measures for Medicare, and is legally forbidden to ration care or reduce benefits.

I was listening to Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and OMG I just realized that Grandma is a Communist! She thinks that she is entitled to get Social Security and Medicare after paying in for a lifetime. Quit being a victim Grandma! She thinks shes entitled to healthcare, to food, to housing! What’s wrong with her? Get a f-ing job taker!

Paul Ryan says it best though. He wants to privatize Social Security and Medicare in order to “break the back” of the collectivist philosophy. Ryan understands that to make money is the essence of human morality. Ryan understands that people who have earned a lot of wealth deserve to enjoy that wealth and that it is immoral to force them to the old, tired, sick, and poor. These people, like Grandma, are nothing more than looters. How dare she? How dare she!?

So Grandma – I’m voting Republican this year. Romney and Ryan are coming after you.  I’m going to get my tax cut and you can go get your own food and home and medical care. I’m kicking Grandma to the curb. I’m a Republican. Go Mitt! WooHoo!

As their husbands battle each other in a mad dash for the White House, the two contenders for first lady waged a heated contest of their own in the kitchen. On Tuesday, the incumbent claimed victory.

Michelle Obama has been declared the winner of the Family Circle Presidential Cookie Bake-Off. Her white and dark chocolate-chip cookies defeated the M&M cookies submitted by Republican rival Ann Romney.

Now as for their husbands, how do you think they will do in the debates tonight?

A[n American Airlines] Boeing 757 from Boston to Miami carrying 175 passengers diverted to New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport on Saturday when three seats in row 12 came loose shortly after takeoff. A second American Boeing 757 returned to JFK on Monday morning after a similar seat issue was discovered.

Earlier Tuesday, an American Airlines flight from Chicago to London made an unscheduled landing at Shannon Airport in Ireland after a passenger reported a smoky odor, an airline spokesman said.

The airline has also been beset recently by labor troubles, delays and flight cancellations. American, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection late last year, persuaded a judge to throw out its contract with the pilots union last month. Since then, the pilots have been engaging in what the airline calls a slowdown that has caused the number of flights that are delayed and canceled to skyrocket.

Ironic that the GOP is so insistent on eliminating voter fraud via voter ID laws given this. Good thing there’s no way to rig voting machines!

Problematic voter forms have now been found in 10 Florida counties, reported the New York Times Sunday. The forms are linked to Strategic Alliance Consulting, a group that was hired by the state Republican Party to sign up new voters, but was fired last week as reports of suspicious forms first surfaced in numerous Florida counties.

[…] despite Sproul’s checkered past, Mitt Romney’s campaign hired him as a political consultant late last year.

Friedman also noted that the voter form scandal, along with the recent revelation of a video showing a GOP voter registration worker screening out Democrats, is far worse than the claims made against ACORN over fraudulent voter registration in the past.

While you might find fault with the story, acting and direction in this 12 minute, crowd-funded film (make sure to watch past the credits to the very end), it’s more about showcasing the CGI and effects. They weren’t created at a high-end Hollywood VFX house using state-of-the-art software. They were created with free, open source Blender. AND, if you buy the 4-DVD packaged version, you get all the source files used to create it all to help garage filmmakers learn how to make their own CGI filled films.

Bacon fans felt a blood pressure spike earlier this week after a British group said a rise in the cost of pig feed would cause an “unavoidable” drop in pork product production next year.

But the U.S. Department of Agriculture said there was plenty of frozen pork on hand, and experts say a 5 percent drop of hog production in the European Union likely wouldn’t ripple across the Atlantic.

“There may be some shortages of pork in Europe, but there will be no shortages in the U.S.,” economist Erin Borror of the U.S. Meat Export Federation told the Des Moines Register…

The high cost of pig feed could fatten your grocery bill, though.

On average, a pound of bacon was 25 cents more expensive in August than in July, but still 10 cents cheaper than a year ago, the Register reported…

The cost of pig feed has risen mostly as a result of droughts throughout the Midwest this year…

Pork producers spreading alarmist rumors to jack up prices? Shock and amazement!

Obviously, it’s time to drone him at the embassy in London. Collateral damage be damned! I wonder what would happen if Assange was given the Nobel Peace Prize for exposing the crap we as a country keep doing. Would the government, headed by another Peace Prize winner, back off? Perhaps that’s the avenue for his getting out of the embassy.

The US military has designated Julian Assange and WikiLeaks as enemies of the United States – the same legal category as the al-Qaeda terrorist network and the Taliban insurgency.
Declassified US Air Force counter-intelligence documents, released under US freedom-of-information laws, reveal that military personnel who contact WikiLeaks or WikiLeaks supporters may be at risk of being charged with “communicating with the enemy”, a military crime that carries a maximum sentence of death.
